Two years ago, John McCain transformed Sarah Palin overnight from an obscure first-term Alaska governor into a national celebrity when he picked her as his vice presidential running mate.
Now Palin is repaying the favor, putting her prestige on the line in an effort to help the four-term Arizona senator overcome his toughest re-election challenge ever.
The two campaigned together Friday for the first time since they lost the presidential race in 2008.
At the first of two rallies this weekend, Palin pumped up Tea Partiers, invoking the cause of the first Tea Party in 1773.
"Remember it was the Freedom Fighters and those who protested tyranny and big government," she said. "And that's what we're doing today."
"And when you think about that first Tea Party, shoot, some may claim that John was there, at the first Tea Party," she said with a laugh, poking fun at McCain's age. McCain, who is 73, grinned widely beside her.

Is anyone here supporting McCain? The point is that he is one vote away from Amnesty, Cap and Trade, and Sex with newly weds.
Hey, PSYCHO - your slip is showing.
Sarah-bot. Interesting name. IOW, no independent mind. Good of you to put that right out there.
Did you watch the Greta interview posted above? Sarah supports McShamnesty on immigration. McShamnesty is pro-amnesty, he was grinning along with Ted Kennedy in support of so-called “comprehensive immigration reform.” And he still doesn’t want a REAL border fence, just better “surveillance.”
I know it’s hard for an admitted “bot” to think independently, but give it a try.
Millions of us will NEVER vote for another pro-amnesty RINO. Not McShamnesty, and now not Palin.
Yes, your gal Sarah.
Again, I repeat, Do Not Give The DemoncRats fuel for their brush fires. Do Not Malign Republicans, we NEED a Republican Majority in House and Senate. We can “clean up” in 20-12 and the future. Because when the “kids” [yuppies] find out that the ‘tax break’ they got last year must be paid for in this year’s Federal Income Tax, they’ll be ripe for Conservative Membership!
When Hayworth neats McCain.....Palin supporting McCain will give every Liberal MSM ripe fodder “she cost McCain his Senate seat”
Plain gave the Liberal Media their fodder. Real conservatives are giving Hayworth.....
Keep huffing on that Huckabee. Point is that me and like minded folk don’t care what McGee thinks. I am only trying to convince your wife.
Have a nice day, “Bot.” Must be easy using somebody else’s brain.
AZ-Sen. 2010: A desire to serve defines McCain (Palin begs Arizonans to vote for McCain!) (BARF)

Pay attention Sarah has stated her position on illegal immigrants theres a reason thier called illegals.
Uh huh....where is the rest of the quote? Forgot, eh?
There has to be a more humane way to treat them
ORLY?
Then in another interview, she said I am against the Democrat amnesty
Are you for the Bush/McCain Republican amnesty, Sarah?
Yes you are!
Matt, Palin has been asked 6 times on 6 different conservative talk shows about amnesty, and all 6 times, she parsed just like Bill Clinton. She is a fraud.
I will, I tried using your brain but the flies kept laying eggs in it.
Well, the MSM and DNC has gone after her, and her kids, with a vengence. Psycho-Freep, the self proclaimed leader of the conservative base, has decided that conservatives must also go after Sarah Palin with a vengence. Hey psycho-freep, which candidates should we support in 2012? Which ones have a better chance at defeating Obama than Palin? Name three.
>> So, when, exactly did the Tea Parties start? Right after the Keating scandal?
I believe after McCain called us Nativists.
Stephen you would last one day in politics, I would lasts half that long. Let use give the professionals their due.
“I will, I tried using your brain but the flies kept laying eggs in it.”
Is it your intention to remind us repeatedly that you are an airhead?
Have at it....need more coffee so I can read the self admitted “Sarah-bot .
It's not off topic. I think I understand your need to stick to your principles, and it is honorable. To get rid of the current administration and all the cultural problems that came with it, we need to be pragmatic, and accept some of the realities we don't like. One of the biggest flaws in Obama is the fact he doesn't know the difference between how he thinks things should be and how they really are. None of us are pure enough for your standards. Get over it.
You might call that “honor”, but I see it quite differently.
In the post in question, you pretty much focused on yourself with a half baked mention that “Old Man” was meant as a compliment. Reading back, it was nothing of the sort in context.
The fact that you served is admirable, but your attitude is typical of the new brand of Military. It must be Urban, house to house Warfare vs. an outright perimeter defense/firefight against thousands of enemy trying to over run your position at once.
The effect and outcome either have has a direct effect on the veteran who lived through it.
Coming from you, I will regard that as the highest of compliments! LOL!
I don't blame you for pretending you don't support freaks like Ron Paul. I wouldn't want to admit that either.
It is always interesting when you direct a post at one person and their tag-team answers the post. I am pretty sure, in fact, I am positive the fly post was directed at McGee.
