Two years ago, John McCain transformed Sarah Palin overnight from an obscure first-term Alaska governor into a national celebrity when he picked her as his vice presidential running mate.
Now Palin is repaying the favor, putting her prestige on the line in an effort to help the four-term Arizona senator overcome his toughest re-election challenge ever.
The two campaigned together Friday for the first time since they lost the presidential race in 2008.
At the first of two rallies this weekend, Palin pumped up Tea Partiers, invoking the cause of the first Tea Party in 1773.
"Remember it was the Freedom Fighters and those who protested tyranny and big government," she said. "And that's what we're doing today."
"And when you think about that first Tea Party, shoot, some may claim that John was there, at the first Tea Party," she said with a laugh, poking fun at McCain's age. McCain, who is 73, grinned widely beside her.

Palin and "Honorable" John were on On The Record w/Greta last night. I didn't listen in but saw a caption below the former duo and it cited the (current) Tea Parties. Anyone know what Palin said and if she tried to link McCain and the contemporary Tea Parties together?
Aside: You Fringers who boldly claimed that Palin would fly in, do one quick appearance with McCain, then go her own way - what happened with that?
It is glaringly obvious that Palin is doing more than just discharging her 'debt' to McCain. She is outright gung-ho for this man.

Man50D, don’t criticize the party of the former, for being predictable. When the party of the later is equally predictable.

Look, I understand there are plenty of pro-amnesty RINOs.
I’m just not one of them.

Anyone know what Palin said and if she tried to link McCain and the contemporary Tea Parties together? Not directly. I think she's being very careful not to do that. However, it will be interpreted in this way:
"I don't think most endorsements have much effect at all. But I think Palin in this specific race could make a difference," political analyst Tucker Carlson told Fox News, calling Palin the "de facto leader of the Tea Party Movement."
"She's the one person that the kind of voters who don't like McCain in Arizona might listen to," Carlson said. " She's the one person who might be able to convince them to support John McCain." From here.

"The Demoncrats will just use our negative words back at us to ridicule us. Do Not Give The DemoncRats fuel for their brush fires."
So, we're just supposed to "shut up and sit down" so we won't get "ridiculed" by the left?
WTH is that?
That's exactly what their "ridicule" is for...to SHUT US UP. So we give them what they want while we sit shuddering in the corner parsing our words?
I don't understand that logic at all. The are "in yo' face" and you don't want to ruffle their feathers?
If we want to "clean up" in November and 2012, conservatives are looking for someone with a backbone to get behind, but the milquetoast you are describing is...is John McCain all over again.
We lost, and will lose again if we remain complacent and on the defense all the time...and parsing your words in fear of ridicule is being very defensive. If McCain would have been on the offense, and more aggressive in 2008, then we wouldn't have been handed obama on a silver platter.
Let them ridicule...in case you haven't noticed, it's not "sticking" with the public. They figure any party that gave us THIS president and THIS congress isn't worth voting for.
The congress and obama could care less what the people say, so why should we care what he, or the party, says?
We can't stop, sit down and weep, everytime they say something about us...we just keep marching forward...nothing is quite as scary as 300 million people coming towards you wanting answers.
Too many conservatives are acting like that cartoon dog who is scare of everything...fear will get us nowhere but back into slavery again...REVERSED.
The democrats have practically ruined the economy of the United States, and you're worried about what people will think of us?

Yeah, sure. Whatever. McShamnesty is pro-amnesty for many years. Did you see the video posted just above? McShamnesty only wants a virtual “surveillance” border, not an actual fence. He tap danced away from answering Greta on what to do with the illegals here. So we’re left with his long-standing position in support of “comprehensive immigration reform,” AKA amnesty.
