Palin expands her position on Illegal Immigration

Palin: we need to close the borders. They are called illegal aliens for a reason and if they are not going to follow the rules they should not be in our country.

It’s pretty simple I ratched that one down to the simple answer because its an easier answer than some politicians want it to make it be.

you close the borders. You get more agressive about cracking down on the illegal aliens and we take it serious what our border patrol officers are trying to do

December 2009
Lars Larson radio talk show

LARS: The amnesty proposal that was defeated in Congress — in your view, was that amnesty for illegals and would you back amnesty for a path to citizenship, as the current president calls it?

SARAH PALIN: No, I’m not for amnesty. Let’s ratchet this down quite simply to remember what we’re referring to. Illegal aliens are called “illegal” for a reason.

We need to secure our borders and I am not for amnesty. And there are humane ways to deal with the 11-13 million illegal aliens who are in our country right now, but if they’re not going to follow the rules, they need to get out.

I’m good with that. Still, after eight or ten ticks in the “Good” column, this is a tick in the “Bad” in my book.

I guarantee to that there are more Palin supporters out there but they are sitting on the sideline waiting to see what she does, Romney has soft support in this early polls...... Palin actually cut government in Alaska by the way Governor Murkowski's last budget FY2007: $11,697,400,000 Governor Palin's last budget FY2010: $10,570,000,000 Total reduction in spending between 2007 and 2010: a whopping 9.5% or $1,127,400,000

When Governor Palin set out to cut Alaska's dependence on government funds, she did FFY07- Murkowski's federal requests total: 63 projects @ $349,497,000 FFY10- Governor Palin's federal requests total: 8 projects @ $69,100,000 Not only had Governor Palin dropped the federal requests for money by 80%, she had also slowly chipping away at these numbers since the beginning of her administration. Quote:FFY2007- Gov. Murkowski 63 projects at $349,497,000 FFY08- Gov. Palin 52 projects at $256,037,000 FFY09- Gov. Palin 31 projects at $195,094,900 FFY10- Gov. Palin: 8 projects @ $69,100,000 As you can clearly see, there has been a noticeable drop in federal requests year after year during Governor Palin's administration.

What was her position on illegals while gov of Alaska?

And do hordes of illegal Mexicans pour over the border into Alaska every day? Are they a big problem in Fairbanks and Juneau?

“Wow she really blew it. She has totally lost my support. It McCain more important than conservative values. I guess so. Typical politician.”

Oh get over it... McCain is better than Hayworth...

McCain is the guy who threw his own campaign, undermined Palin at every term and told us we had "nothing to fear" if Obama became president.

You should "get over" your own self.

Wow she really blew it

I give her a pass on this one. How can she support anyone other than McCain when the two of them were on the ticket together. The obvious criticism would be . . She thinks McCain is qualified to be President, but not qualified to be Senator.

She supports McCain. Big deal. I support the conservative in the race . . and that is NOT McCain.

I doubt any of those people on her facebook page gave a damn about her anyway. I bet none of them are Conservatives, just Dems who want to trash her and pretend that they are pissed off about her campaigning for McCain. People shouldn’t be bad mouthing her, instead they should respectfully ask her why she supports him, trash talking never gets anything done

McCain is a back stabbing RINO. I have great respect for Mrs Palin, but her support for McCain after he threw her under the bus makes no sense.

Conservative McCain is a lousy quarterback, but he plays all the other positions quite well.

This time around we have him in our pocket. IMO it he will win and be of tremendous value in the battle ahead.

and which third party camp are you in?

Are you the type who listens to crappy music because "everyone is doing it?"

If someone told you to choose between a bludgeoning to the head or a dagger to the crotch, which one would you choose?

McQueeg is a backstabbing assh*le. Backstabbed POWs once (big time) and Conservatives over and over. He is not trustworthy. I have absolutely no use for him.

I love Sarah and support her above all for President, BUT now I have a small doubt about her judgement. I don't like that feeling.

Are you kidding or serious? You lost your country due to McCain-Feingold and you do not even realize it. You have no clue the damage that McCain has caused.

You are about 20 moves behind the cut throat Dems. McCain is a trajan horse for Obama.

McCain’s views and Palin’s views aren’t any different in my opinion. When you look at her stance and actions while governor on illegal immigration, it was the exact same position as McCain’s. Folks who are shocked are uninformed.

Thank you, lt.america, for your noble efforts to expose the catastrophic problems caused by illegal aliens flooding the Yukon. The Salvadorean MS13 attacks on the Aleutians must stop!

I like Sarah Palin...

...and if I lived in Arizona, I would vote for JD.

Now, you try it.

Endorsements are kinda like the waitress telling you the special of the day...you are still free to decide for yourself.

McCain ia nothing but a political HACK and LIAR! He LOVES amnesty for illegals and for SARAH to not realize this, for her to campaign for this TOTALLY WORTHLESS, back stabbing RINO just goes to show what a TOTAL LACK OF JUDGMENT AND DISCERNMENT SHE HAS and yes I am yelling! They are both disgraceful. How dare they look the American people in the eye tonight on GRETA and say that McCain is for securing the borders! It is the height of hypocracy and LIES. McCain has had well over a DECADE to get it right and to deal with this issue and he has steadfastly REFUSED and worked AGAINST securing our borders because history has shown time and time again that McCain loves and cares more abot illegal aliens than he does Americans!

McCain-Finegold is dead law. It had a meaningless existence. I don't like McCain more for being the leader of the gang of 7. I wouldn't vote for him, I'd vote for the other guy.

But I respect Palin for her political history of winning the bigger fight. Let the primaries run their course, I'm behind whoever wins.

Thank you for your well thought out articulated answer. I’m sure you expend the same amount of reason when you blindly vote the party line.

I’m one of those freaks who carefully examine each candidate before I choose.

Call me irresponsible...
