Coming on stage to the tune of AC/DC's For Those About To Rock, We Salute You, the 2008 Republican presidential ticket just reunited in Pima, Ariz.

Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin is there to campaign on behalf of the 2008 GOP presidential nominee, Sen. John McCain. He's seeking his fifth term in the Senate.

Palin just said that "I think this go around, when all the votes are tallied he's going to win this one."

"Send the maverick back to the United States Senate!" the '08 vice presidential nominee, doing a little mavericking of her own in a leather jacket, told a couple thousand supporters at a local fair grounds.

You have that totally wrong look at the past threads and educate yourself as to how many on this forum voted for McCain because of Palin, we are pouncing because she is showing too much deference to an old man that failed to defend her from his own.

“But when she raises it (especially to the level I heard it a few minutes ago) it becomes unbearably shrill.”

I agree. The pitch of her voice has annoyed me for several months.

She needs to take speaking lessons to lower the pitch. Too many women in politics and in the news (I’m thinking of FOX) have the same annoying problem.

And I am speaking as a woman.

I wish she had told Juan that she’d help him in the general if he won the primary, but was not helping him in the primary.

So do I. I am disappointed. A simple endorsement, like she did before, would have been enough, but to actively campaign for him? :(

I love Sarah Palin.

I hate that she is doing this and I don't get the extent of her support at all (goes beyond mere 'loyalty'?).

This is like catching your girlfriend cheating on you; and with a LOSER to boot.

My continued hope is that the "loser" does something insane, and soon, that opens up the door for Sarah to 'dump' him.

And we all know that he is eminently capable of the insane ....

I'm a conservative maverick dammit!!!

“He’s not a *maverick*. He’s an old horse that needs to ride off into the sunset. We’ve got to RETIRE HIM!!!!”

How true!! Let’s be honest, the main reason Sarah was chosen in the presidential campaign was to spiff-up the old horse. It didn’t work then. Hopefully it won’t work now.

The fact that one cannot express the mildest reservation about Palin without being labeled a “hater” — or some other ridiculous epithet — is evidence enough for me that too much of her appeal is emotional.

He can go back to the Senate -- just not as Senator.

Maybe the Senate can create their version of the Walmart greeter. McCain is up for this job...

You Palinbots say she was just returning a favor, but she sounds like she really wants McCain to win, there's something there more than just a return favor.

“Love Sarah, but she is spending political capital on a lost cause who is bought and paid for by Soros.”

You are correct. She is not connected with Soros whether she likes it or not.

i dont necessarily think it is hatred for palin. She had been a real hope to many of us. But i have not liked her judgement about McCain.

I dont think she realizes that conservatives are not party voters anymore.

P.S.

I believe the accurate word is “tainted.” Sarah has now tainted herself with Soros and his crooks.

I hope Sarah is wearing bullet proof shoes.

Hip waders would be more appropriate.

I assume those would be for sanitary reasons.
