“Did McCain betray his country”
Yes.
“How could McCain think he was being disloyal to the country?”
He took an oath to protect and defend the US Constitution and violated it.
He took money from the enemy to cover up POWs.
He sides with Juan Hernandez.
” I think of loyalty in the personal sense first as in family and friends. “
You can define it that way for you. Stop defining it down for others.
You are sick.
“The challanges that I see in the horizon will make amnesty, tax-n-trade and closing Gitmo look like litter in the water. We are facing an economic desaster that will take the world economy down like dominos”
Those things you dismiss as litter will be the cause of that disaster. If McCain gets his way, the country will be unrecoverable. We - Americans - will be outnumbered as a voting block.
“Arizona needs to put McCain back in at this time for the best interest of this country.”
IF the enemy is the best you have, you’ve already lost.
He’s just a “Repubican”. They only see the party label, so protecting an incumbent is paramount no matter who he is or what he has done.
It is sick and it’s what has gotten us to this point.
Great. Now move on. Thanks.
Bingo. We even had one wanting to make a $500.00 bet before anyone, even Palin, has ever thrown their hat in the ring.
This kind of stuff is pure lunacy.
Why is Palin aiding and abetting a known open borders, pro-amnesty candidate?
No, they are protecting Palin who is shilling for McCain which now makes it, according to them, okay to reelect McCain.
They forget that McCain, if reelected will do all he can to shake hands across the aisle. Palin has damaged herself greatly here, but McCain is not all that she will have to deal with later.
That I will not get in to.
“No, they are protecting Palin who is shilling for McCain which now makes it, according to them, okay to reelect McCain.”
Entirely possible.
Mr. you posted a fake quote from me that made no sense and that I had no idea what the context was or what you were getting at, you used that fake quote and answered it, leaving me out of the equation.
When I asked you what you meant or what was going on you told me that you were not going to tell me or explain yourself. I don’t know what is up with you but you do have a very mysterious troll like posting history.
You signed up in 2000 and did not post, you did not post in 2001, or 2002, or 2003 and then you posted a little in 2004, and then let this account go dormant again through 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009, and now here you are messing with people again.
As I said about 3 posts ago, I am ending this conversation now. I took extra time to try to explain things to you. Have a great day. I wish you the best.
Even his pal Gramnesty isn't for immigration reform anymore.
NOT THIS YEAR ANYWAY.
Why is Palin aiding and abetting a known open borders, pro-amnesty candidate?
I hope that you start putting your sleeper account to better use.
You’re boring me. I don’t answer for her and I do not concur with the framing of your question, PAULTARD.
lol...
There is a credible ‘Rat who is lurking on the sidelines, thinking of getting in. He is Rodney Glassman, a Tucson City Councilman.
In 1978, Ronald Reagan campaigned to reelect Senator Charles Percy who was a RINO from Illinois who makes McCain look conservative. Staunch conservative Phyllis Sclafly was poised to challenge Percy in the GOP primary but could not secure Regan’s backing an did not make the race. One of Percy’s chief contributions afflicts us to this day. He recommended John Paul Stevens to both the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court. Percy was an enthusiastic supporter of federal funding of abortions, the ERA and the Panama Canal Treaty, all of which Reagan vehemently opposed.
According to your logic, Reagan’s endorsement of Percy made him suspect as a Conservative candidate in 1980. The fact is that even conservatives sometimes support RINOs for various reasons. I am sure Reagan had his reasons for supporting Percy when Schlafly was available. Similarly, Palin has her reasons, which are self evident. I am not going to let something as relatively insignificant as this affect my support for her any more than I let Reagan’s support for Percy (which I disagreed with much more)affect my support for him.
It might behoove you to pay closer attention, perhaps even do something outrageous like reading a book, and coming to your own conclusions rather than relying on another to form your thoughts and opinions for you.
Your argument fails in three aspects, two of which are contained in your own argument:
1. In your own words:
“One of Percys chief contributions afflicts us to this day. He recommended John Paul Stevens to both the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court. Percy was an enthusiastic supporter of federal funding of abortions, the ERA and the Panama Canal Treaty, all of which Reagan vehemently opposed.”
Q.E.D.
2. “According to your logic, Reagans endorsement of Percy made him suspect as a Conservative candidate in 1980.”
Correct. He was suspect as a Conservative candidate. He later proved otherwise, but at that time, he was suspect as a Conservative candidate. You can only judge with the information you have at the time.
3. Reagan’s 11th commandment is outdated. We can’t afford to not speak ill of a fellow Republican. Not any more. Its become a necessity. Let all Republican candidates be scrutinized, held accountable, and tested by the public. Otherwise you end up with Lindsey Graham, who shouldn’t be able to exist within the Republican party. Republican is just a word. A Republican can spend the country into oblivion just as well as the next person. If you give them a pass, that’s part of the problem.
