I really think it’s out of the Republican Party’s hands at this point, unless they can get the whole thing completely rescinded.

As I've been saying, this is only over a single bill, and before the full destructive effects of it kick in. If the Sedition thinks it's bad now, wait'll they experience the thunder and lightning resulting from trying to shove cap-and-trade and amnesty down America's throat. The Left is going for an all-or-nothing, scorched earth agenda against a constitutional republic, knowing full well that if they fail, the least of their worries will be that they'll never see the reins of power again in their lifetimes. The other end of that outcome will literally be Biblical.

We don’t live in a democracy. We live in a constitutional republic. The constitution is supposed to be supreme law. In this country, minorities are supposed to be protected from political majorities. The constitution is a contract between us, the people, and our leaders.

Now what are we supposed to do when our leaders violate the clear intent of the law? Can they distort the US Constitution in any way they like simply by holding a vote? It’s not like we don’t know they are stacking the courts with like-minded law twisters and distorters. Are we not supposed to resist these law breakers, aka criminals?

What are we to do when our leaders act as thieves for their political allies and constituents? Even if we’re the minority, do we not have the right to defend our property, including our own bodies against acts of thievery?

That said, I oppose violence and threats. I obey the law, even laws I don’t like. That doesn’t mean I need to remain civil toward the demagogues, socialists, commies, and bipartisan compromisers who populate Washington DC.

Sorry, but it’s not easy for me to smile and say thank you when I’m being robbed of my liberty. Oh, I’ll comply (seriously), but I’m going to fight at the polls and give you a piece of my mind between now and then!
