Poll: Most Want GOP to Keep Fighting on Health Bill
CBS ^
Posted on 03/24/2010 10:25:23 PM PDT by Chet 99
A CBS News poll released Wednesday finds that nearly two in three Americans want Republicans in Congress to continue to challenge parts of the health care reform bill. The Senate version of the legislation was passed by the House Sunday night, and President Obama signed it into law on Tuesday. The House also passed a separate reconciliation bill, which cannot be filibustered, that is now being debated in the Senate. That bill would make changes to the bill already signed into law.
Senate Republicans are now challenging whether the bill is truly a budget reconciliation bill (which is what makes it filibuster-proof) and inserting amendments designed to slow down passage. Republican attorneys general are also planning to challenge the constitutionality of the law.
The poll finds that 62 percent want Congressional Republicans to keep challenging the bill, while 33 percent say they should not do so. Nearly nine in ten Republicans and two in three independents want the GOP to keep challenging. Even 41 percent of Democrats support continued challenges.

Poll or no poll, the dummies have declared war on the Constitution.
Our financial futures depend on putting these evil, corrupt bastards in their place. For Dummy congressmen, at least, that probably means they should apply for a job dumping trashcans at McDonalds.
Super-size that.

WTF? We have to win the HOUSE and Boehner promised to DEFUND it. They should have tied it up until November.
It would have stopped any otheer plans like amnesty and cap and tax.

Everyone needs to remember that it was the RINO girls of Maine that let this thing out of the bag by voting it out of commitee. These fools need to be spanked along with the dems.

IIRC the committee version of the bill was not used on the floor, and the absence of her vote would have still allowed the committee version to come out.
Anyhow now there is a big brouhaha about the mandate in the legislation. Shouldn’t there have been an equal brouhaha beforehand? It’s like conservatives are acting kind of surprised.

CBS came up with this? They must be dropping dead over there.
Well, they’ll just have to redouble their efforts in the MSM.
