Almost A Quarter of Republicans Think Obama 'May Be The Antichrist' As 14 States Sue Over Healthcare Reforms
DAVID GARDNER 24th March 2010
Americans who suggest Barack Obama should rot in hell are apparently deadly serious. Nearly a quarter of Republicans believe the Democrat president 'may be the Antichrist', according to a survey. An even greater number compared him to Hitler.
Mr Obama was jubilant this week after securing his £626billion healthcare reform plan. But his triumph seems only to have inflamed his critics among the evangelical Christians from America's heartland who kept George Bush in power for eight years and have demonised his successor.
More than half of the Republicans quizzed by Harris Poll, 57 per cent, believed the president was secretly Muslim, something he has consistently denied. And 67 per cent of Republicans who responded believed Obama was a socialist, despite his central leanings.
The startling results came as lawyers representing 14 U.S. states filed lawsuits yesterday challenging an overhaul of the country's $2.5trillion healthcare system, minutes after President Barack Obama signed the landmark legislation. One joint lawsuit by a dozen Republican attorneys general and a Democrat claims the sweeping reforms violate state-government rights in the U.S. Constitution and will force massive new spending on hard-pressed state governments.

He’s not the antiChrist, but he is the antiAmerican.
Would the AntiChrist pick someone like Biden as a sidekick. I’m just asking?
Usually guys like that windup as comic relief for cheesy villains like Lex Luther. Beyond that, one thing is certain. They never would get primetime billing with the head cheese - who, for all his imperfections, still has some standards.
Or it could be one of his friends....
lol— the anti christ will be the opposite of christ— example- jesus was born from a virgin- baraq born from a whore- jesus loves children- baraq aborts them- jesus hates politicians— baraq is a polition- jesus was a jew- baraq hates jews— jesus was born in a manger- well we dont know were baraq was born yet..ect.
That would have been George Soros.
You're aware of the Illinois Lottery "Pick-Three" for the day after the election, right?
I do NOT think that Obama is the anti-Christ, but I have to query your post a tad.
You stated that unlike the anti-Christ who will deceuve everybody, Obama has not. I say he has ...he deceived the entire world, apart from the elect. Even going back a couple of years, when Obama spoke at the Dem convention for the first time, even FREEPERS thought he was 'amazing' and that he 'espoused conservative values' and should join our side. There is a very long thread on FR from back then, one that has a good number of FReepers waxing poetic about him. Only a couple warned that this chap could be a major threat going forward.
As for miracles ...hmmm. Barack came out of NOWHERE, spun the masses into a flurry, and got elected president of the US with a dearth of tangible cogent documentation!!!! Oh, and he had no job experience to talk of. That counts as a miracle in my book. It is more of a miracle than some homeless hobo off the street becoming chairman of Microsoft.
As for the teleprompter ....well, God gave Moses Aaron because Moses couldn't speak well. Thus, I see no reason why God would give his chosen prophet ( Moses) a human mouthpiece (Aaron), and the Devil refuses his chosen a teleprompter!
Anyways, to reiterate, I do not believe BO is the AC. However, not for the reasons you stated. He is quite convincing (note: the world is not FR, and FR is not the world), and he probably pulled of the greatest miracle in American political history since the foundation of the Republic.
Israel's "supporters" do, close enough.
666 is his lucky number.
I don’t think BO could pull it off by himself. I would take a serious look at the person working the teleprompter.
Well, this guy’s ideology is inarguably anti-Christ, as in “against Christ” and especially against Christians.
So he’s anti-Christ and anti-Christian, but not THE Anti-Christ.
They sent out emails to people and counted on the addressees responding.
Most people ignore unsolicited emails and browsers often mark them as junk mail, so the sample responding wouldn't be representative.
They might be people who felt very, very strongly about Obama. They were people who would respond to emails from people they didn't know.
How do we know that the respondents actually even were Republicans?
And how did the polling organization get the demographics right? Email addresses aren't like street addresses or telephone numbers -- they don't indicate where you live.
Even the polling organization itself is reluctant to stand by the results.
