At least 10 House Democrats who voted Sunday for health care overhaul have received violent threats to their lives or property, party leaders said today.
Connecticut Democrat on health reform: "More action and correction" coming soon.Several members have faced death threats and harassing phone calls while others have experienced vandalism at district offices or their private homes.
In one case, a gas line was cut outside the Virginia home of Rep. Tom Perriello's brother after a conservative activist posted the address online, mistakenly thinking it was the congressman's house. The Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating.

They can’t shut it down, except by force. And they will regret the day they try that
I don’t support violence, but some people won’t take too kindly of ruining the country and breaking the constitution.
But at the same plan on the Marxists to spread lies about violence too.
“All I know is that I wouldn’t want to be a democrat seen as expendable by the white house. “
LOL!
They don't, and this is why:
“Limbaugh inspires a half-million phone calls against the health care bill”

What liberal broadcaster can do that?
And if the left had “a lock on those means of disseminating information”, how come opposition to 0bamcare was far stronger than those who support it, given that all the liberal media campaigned 24/7 for 0bamcare?
Is that like "elections have consequences"?
AS my late father would’ve said “they made their bed now they have to lay in it”.Grow up dems you thought that you could go home after threatening the lives of every American and everything would be fine? Fools! When 80% of Americans said they did not want this and you did it anyway? Fools!
I agree. That is where we should start.
Little Stevie Driehaus from Ohio was deemed expendable by Pelosi and Obama, and has done nothing but whine the last 10 days. First, a right wing ad (before the vote) depicted a photo of him and his children (a photo that he had previously used in his campaign)- he whined that the kids were out of bounds. OK, maybe. Today he is whining in fear because a right wing blog posted his home address. and he also whined because Boehner rightly called him a loser to Steve Chabot this fall. That’s ok, I’m sure Little Stevie was offered a cushie job in Washington next year in turn for throwing all of his values behind him, throwing his job away, and voting in direct opposition to what the citizens in the 1st congressional district of Ohio wanted.
Driehaus was mentioned in the Drudge Report article as one of those being threatened.
No violence, other than a brick through the window of the local Dem office, which I do not condone.
All of this pales, of course, in comparison to the physical abuse heaped upon conservatives over the last 10 years. Where was the media then?
Driehaus ONLY won the 1st Ohio Congressional District due to strong backlash against Bush, and the fact that he ran as a pro-life fiscal conservative. Little Stevie has shown that he is neither, having voted with Pelosi 94% of the time. Driehaus comes from the very heavily Catholic, mostly German (and conservative) west side of Cincinnati. Driehaus has nothing to fear (physically) from the citizens of Cincinnati. But we will probably never let him forget about this vote.
He might have problems, however, when around the guys he went to high school with at Elder, in the Price Hill section of the west side. Elder guys (It’s an all male Catholic HS) admire tough, stand-up men, who say what they are for and then follow through. Men of conviction. They do not tolerate wussy’s. Stevie is currently in hiding.
If it was such a great bill, why does America hate it? Why do the people who voted for it feel so stressed and threatened?
And why doesn’t the wonderful health plan cover them, as well? Why are they excluded?? Never mind, I know why...
“Theyll use this as an excuse to shutdown the tea party movement.”
Oh don’t worry we can be just like ACORN and change out name! ;)
I agree. That is where we should start.
“Still thats no different than what the left was threatening to bank execs. Those homes could also have innocent (children) people in them. Threats are ridiculously immature though Id like to see some proof they were were made. But cutting someones gas line is dangerous. Every life is sacred.”
And you will see, that some lives are more sacred than others...democrats will go overboard in their reactions...tyrants always do.
I realize that we now live in the age of no accountability for ones actions, but ... votes have consequences.
“Congress started this war.’’ Damn right they did. Choices have consequences. The Democrats made a monumentally bad choice in ramming socialized health care down our throats. They’re going to have to suffer the consequences, come what may.
He got the best of Bambi at the faux Republican Health Care Summit. All BO could do was to blubber, stare daggers and deliver his classy signature scratch.
—Choices have consequences.-—
And he who sews into the wind will reap the whirlwind.
Right on!
You can say this about the Democrats: Theyre all brave while theyre protected inside their bubble in Washington DC and dont have to face the voters back home, but when faced with true public opinion and the fact that more than 60% opposed ObamaCare and Congressional approval ratings being at an all time low, these cowards will look for any excuse to not go home and face the music.
On the bright side, its high time they feared the Public, thats as it should be! Government should fear the wrath of the voters, not the voters fearing the wrath of an incompetent, power-grabbing Government!
My congress critter (Republican Renee Kosel) is going to be in my neighborhood this Saturday, and she's going to hear an earful from me about her lack of standing up and opposing ObamaCare. She did nothing more than cast a vote "No" never bothering to speak out on the house floor, communicate with her constituents, etc..
I'm going to put her on notice she either shapes up, stands up to this monstrosity and actively works to repeal it, or she'll find herself on the outside looking in either in November, or in 2012. (I say either in November or 2010 because I don't want to vote for a Dem to get her out in November, and I'll personally have time to prepare a run against her in 2012. I've got the means to do it too.)
I’m sorry, but I just don’t buy this. I bet there are no more “threats” than on any other given day. It’s just too convenient—just hours after the dung heap of a bill was signed. This seems to be a pattern with them.
