WASHINGTON, March 23 (UPI) -- A Senate Republican leader says his party will look for bipartisan chances on a "case-by-case basis," not just refuse to cooperate as one senator suggested.
Sen. John Thune, R-S.D., chairman of the Republican Policy Committee, said while Republicans disagree with the way Democrats developed healthcare legislation, they wouldn't dismiss working across the aisle out of hand, The Hill reported Tuesday.

Excellent post!
“There will be no cooperation for the rest of this year.”
“They have poisoned the well in what they have done and how they have done it.”

Repeated again on Hannity’s TV show tonight.
Is it any wonder the pubbies regularly get butt kickings?
RINO turds and dumbasses will not get it done.
It’s a losing strategy to pick up your ball and run home. And that’s how the media would sell any attempt by republicans to make a blanket “punishment” for how the democrats passed health care.
If the media was on our side, instead of the democrats, we would have seen a month of stories NOT about how great health care would be, but all about how trying to pass the bill like they did would destroy the senate, and make it impossible to get any other legislation passed.
But we didn’t see that — so if we try it now, it will be without context, and rejected by the people we need to vote against the democrats in November.
They should shut down the congress. No more major bills passed until after the election. Fillibuster it all.
What you say makes sense.
But everything they want to pass sucks and they refuse to actually compromise.
His occasional apostasy is nothing new.
He keeps going like this he’ll have the same level of respect given to Lindsay Graham.
We shouldn’t compromise, we should never have compromised unless we were getting something we wanted and the demorats DIDN’T want in the bill, and what we were getting was worth putting up with the bill.
I want someone to ask Nancy Pelosi to name ONE THING in the health care bill that was recommended by the Republicans, that Obama didn’t say was a good thing.
Obama said he was going to add 4 republican ideas, but only because he agreed with them. That’s no compromise, that’s getting good ideas from people.
Compromise is when the other side suggests something, you don’t like it, but you give in. If your wife says “paint the bathroom pink”, and you wanted it pink, that’s not compromise.
