Idaho joined with 12 other states in suing the federal government Tuesday immediately after President Obama signed the new health-care bill into law.
Thirteen Republican state attorneys general sued to block the law, calling it unconstitutional. Idaho Gov. Butch Otter said the lawsuit was needed to "stop this insanity."
"The sovereignty of the state of Idaho is very important to us," Otter said in an televised interview on Fox News.
The lawsuit says the health care reform law infringes on the sovereignty of the states by imposing onerous new operating rules that they must follow, Idaho Attorney General Lawrence Wasden said.

FTA:
The lawsuit was filed in federal court in Pensacola, Fla. Other states joining the lawsuit are South Carolina, Nebraska, Texas, Utah, Louisiana, Alabama, Colorado, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Washington and South Dakota. The defendants are the federal departments of Health and Human Services, Treasury and Labor.
I like Rudy Giuliani’s point, There IS NO INTERSTATE COMMERCE WITH REGARD TO HEALTH-INSURANCE! The Federal government has seen to that! The idea that that any federal regulation of health care peroid is constitution as interstate commerces in contradiction with the Federal governments own congressionally passed laws, which forbids the existents of such commerce.
Therefore as far as health insurance is concerned its either intrastate commerce or it’s illegal. lol
Once again I’m glad the republicans were not successful in passing their solution to open up the state borders to buying health insurance form other States.
All that being said i am greatly turned off by the reforms Rudy Giuliani was promising if they were “given power”. I don’t want the Federal government involved in health-care at all.
The “republican” reforms Rudy Giuliani was speaking of are only slightly better then what the Dems want.
13 States stand together for Liberty! How Ironic!
Good catch!
Pray for justice....pray for justice...prepare for war....
Rudy is a RINO like Cornyn who said today they do not want to repeal it! RINOs like McCain, Graham-nesty.
Anyone know why Pensacola? Military and retired military area. How fast can it get to SCOTUS?
VA’s AG Ken Cuccinelli is going through VA’s district with the rocket docket.
Great Flag! My how times have changed:(
Times have changed, but people have not. Most drift through life, but a significant minority cares about freedom. We’ll see soon enough whether that minority today is willing to insist upon freedom as our counterparts did two centuries ago.
First they have to get past the appellate level!
