While searching on YouTube for the video of the protesters at the Capitol this weekend, I found what I think is the original video.

This is not the 48-second excerpt that I've seen elsewhere. This one is 6:51 in length.

I'll save you the time and effort of watching the entire video: Move the slider out to just less than half-way, and watch the timer at the right.

Listen carefully at 3:31 to 3:34. You may have to turn up the volume a bit.

I'm not sure exactly what is being yelled at that point. But, I think I can hear how it could have been interpreted.

If every person in that crowd had yelled the n word at them, it would not be as evil as what they did. They purposely strolled through the middle of an angry crowd, trying to get that crowd to say something that they could use to discredit the crowd. Despicable and the worst kind of race-baiting.

I understand what you are saying, but I just keep seeing thread after thread about it written by the collaborators in the media and most FReepers probably know from the outset it's a load of hooey. The leftists are going to believe what they want to believe no matter what and the people that don't pay attention aren't paying attention. To me, it's a non-story or should be a non-story and just needs to go away and die. I could very well be wrong though and it wouldn't be the first time in my life :)

Pales in comparison to the damage done to our country by these idiots, the crimes committed by their constituencies and a whole host of problems in their communities that should be addressed rather than wasting time trying to set people up for a fall.

Not sure what you heard, but it sounds like “Lay Down” which makes no sense. But I still say they heard the short “I” vowel sound in “Kill the bill” and assumed people were chanting “N*gger” at them. They wanted this to be about that so they can justify their hostile take over of American’s healthcare by calling racism as the reason for the opposition.

Congressional BLACK caucus. That says enough for me. CBC, get over the thin-skinned racism. It grows old and there’s plenty of attacks on all people. While good people in general don’t subscribe to that behavior, the counterattacks are growing old and enough is enough!

I'm a little hard of hearing (or so I think I've heard people tell me), so I'm sorry, but I think I heard it too, or at least something that was close enough to it that somebody could make a mistake. Enough that I can no longer say with conviction that I have not heard audio evidence of the incident.

But it seemed like only one voice in the crowd, not enough to condemn the whole group as they are trying to do.

And I have to wonder what the congress-critters were doing there, because their presence already made me think they were there to instigate an incident or that it was a setup. And that last makes me wonder about altered tapes.

surely he would have picked up something as he was right in the action ...
And how come none of the CBC flinched upon hearing the slur and looked in the direction from which it came ?
