With the economy in the tank as it is, pushing amnesty would totally destroy the democrats. If 0bama tries this, it would seem that he’s TRYING to have the dems lose big this year. I can see how he could have a motivation to do such a thing. With republicans controlling at least one house chamber in Congress, he’ll have someone to blame for problems when he’s running for reelection.
I believe the Alinsky model of politics demands someone to target for demonetization. When your party runs DC, that becomes problematic.
McCain and others will be happy to support it.

I would like to think of the Obama presidency as a momentary lapse of reason, but that is probably wishful thinking.
You remember Obama claiming the health care bill would extend healthcare insurance to legal citizens only and that illegals would not be covered. So, he makes the illegals legal in an amnesty program, and presto, he’s extended healthcare to all “legal citizens”. Everyone who thought he would not cover illegal aliens was sold on a deliberate scam. The Democrats will use the same tactics to ram an amnesty vote through. And they’ll peel off McCain, Graham, Snowe, and Collins to vote with them. It’s all coming.

His strongest political allies the unions are very much against providing amnesty to illegal immigrants. This man simply does not realize the magnitude of the political disaster that is coming to crush the democrats in the 2010 and 2012 elections.
They will not, not this time.
We the people will have to reclaim our own damned borders. This fake sham of a government will not do it. Bush didn’t do it either. We Texans will do our part if the feds will just get the hell out of the way. We are armed and ready to defend our nation and state. We will pick them off in bunches if necessary. Mr. AwipeObama. Here you have a guy who doesn't like the US military, who thinks it's been used for imperialistic purposes. He can't wait to slash that, use that money for domestic spending. You've heard the Democrat Party say this your whole life, cut defense, build up social programs, stop the Iraq war, we're going to pay for health care with that.

Attempted.....I would like to believe that. They just passed this sham of a HC bill while the majority of the country opposed it. I do think they will do Amnesty next.
