Members of the House of Representatives tonight approved President Obama’s health care agenda, the biggest expansion of government power since the Great Society. The Obama health care legislation is universal in scope and will profoundly impact the personal lives of more than 300 million Americans.
It will restrict our personal freedom while undercutting the independence and authority of the several states.
This unprecedented congressional action will give Washington control over the content of health benefits packages; the kind of health insurance available to Americans and the organization and regulation of health insurance markets.
This has been accompanied by one of the most shocking Congressional exhibition of arrogance and special interest deal-making in memory.
In 1774, in response to the first Tea Party, the British Parliament issued a series of acts designed to control the colonists, stop their protests and restrict their liberty. The Americans called these “The Intolerable Acts.”
Obamacare is today’s Intolerable Act. In poll after poll, in town hall meetings, in popular protests and in special elections, ordinary Americans have declared their firm opposition to this scheme, only to be derisively dismissed.
This imposition of legislation is intolerable for two reasons:
* Process: The outrageous way in which this massive restructuring of one six of the economy has been pushed through.
* Substance: Huge obligation shifted to future generations, a huge lurch toward European-style welfare states.
The Heritage Foundation will have a full answer to Congress’ action tomorrow and in the days and weeks and months to come.
We will do all within our power to recommend, and make the intellectual case for, the repeal of these acts.

The results of the bill are hideous UnConstitutional treason to the near max.
The manner in which it was rammed up the National rear was at least as treasonous and hideous. Many ought to go to prison for using such felonious means . . . beginning at the top.

I am retired from the Industry. I think perhaps you misunderstood what I said. First of all, I did not analyze Cobra. After one gets finished with Cobra, (mine cost $550 for 2 people),I described what happens under HIPPA, which I have personally experienced.
If you are HIPPA qualified, they have to offer you Insurance. However, the amount that they wanted for this Insurance was $3000.00 per month for 1 person. Since I could not afford $36.000 per year per person, that was a no go.
The only other choice was to submit for underwriting. So now I pay $801 per month(for one person) for a $5000 deductible with 80/20 after the deductible, and no Rx benefit. That is my state's high risk pool's cheapest option.
In case you wonder, I am healthy, but have lousy family history, and take high blood pressure medication. I go to the doctor for my checkups and blood tests twice per year, and am almost never sick with even the flu or a cold.
The Insurance industry reps that got into bed with Obama got the trade off they wanted which was the healthy young people who don't have insurance because they don't want to pay for it.
In addition, the bill that was passed does not have price controls. The industry is free to price the product at whatever rate they deem necessary to make a profit at present. It remains to be seen where it goes from there.
I’ve been wondering what happens if the Supreme Court declares this unconstitutional and Obama tells them to take a flying leap.The constitution assumes that one of the other two branches is honest, but since they are both corrupt, what do we do? Can’t impeach. Does that only leave the second ammendment?

The Inner Party has always allowed individual RATs to vote against the program when they are sure of passage. The time they took on this bill was probably spent deciding who would be REQUIRED to vote "yes", not on principled discussions of the merits of the legislation (since there aren't any!)
But it is the way the founders gave citizens to bypass DC, when those in power become abusive, as they are now.
The Foudners had it correct wehn they contemplated a time when the normal checks and balances did not work, as the present situation.

I am not sure I get your drift. It is difficult to know what God has in store for the US. It is simply not a nation that is spoken of in scripture.
Of concern to me is the current US stance to Israel. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse you. We are marching toward the end times and it is clear that Israel will be abandoned by all.
It’s a shame the November elections were not being held today.
Do you have a source other than Michelle Bachman? She thinks Members of Congress can be impeached, she’s not a reliable source for facts.

A couple of months ago I saw a pretty typical where-is-America-in-prophecy video (you tube). A few pastor types with nice suits and hair were discussing the matter, speaking in vague generalities while tossing out historical factoids. They admitted that they didn't have the answer, but that didn't stop them from pimping a book about it.
They reminded me of leftists who are satisfied simply to "care", without regard to the truth (real answers to problems). Not content to live peacefully within their own fantasies, they choose to deceive others in order to prop up their vain imaginations. Obamacare is 2309 pages of delusions - just more of the same - lies from false prophets.
