Former Massachusetts governor and 2008 GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney predicted that President Obama's massive health care bill would be passed by Congress, and he outlined a legislative strategy to overturn the bill by cutting off the funding necessary to implement it.
Speaking in Dallas yesterday as part of the publicity tour for his new book, No Apology: The Case for American Greatness, Romney said that the key to his plan was for the GOP to reclaim majorities in both houses of Congress as well as the White House.
Romney said that those members voting for the health care bill were guilty of "clueless behavior", and he predicts heavy losses heavy losses for Democrats in this year's midterm elections. "The American people are not going to stand still for this bill and the government running our healthcare, said Romney. "The American people will be with us and they will throw those guys out."

RomneyCare = ObamaCare.
Nice idea, wrong person proposing it though
I’m glad R’s are starting to talk about this as a platform item. But what about REPEAL THE STIMULUS.
I don’t care who proposes it, just show me the guy that can get it done and he has my support.
Romney is backing McCain who helped elected a Dem Congress 2006/2008 and Obama with McCain Feingold. Ditto Palin, Fred, Kyl, Newt and other RINOs supporting McCain.
Romney?! He’s part of the problem, not the solution.
I hear ya - but ya know, everyone is going to run on this idea.
He has no credibility here. His plan is just a state-sized version of it.
Yeah, but old “flip-flop” didn’t want to overturn HIS RomneyCare, did he. This guy spins in the breeze, duh, where’s it blowing from today, huh Marge?
Well he should know..
To bad Mr Hair didn’t include that strategy in his Masscare plan!!
Barbie’s Ken is at it again!
Well there you have it.
Romney has just been picked to be the frontrunner for the GOP.
He will or already has began to campaign on how to get rid of the monstrosity that was (will be) voted on today. That he recognized and showed the people that don’t like it that he has a way to get rid of it will help to propel him upwards in his campaign as the GOP’s frontrunner for POTUS.
Smart guy. I still don’t want to have to vote for him though. Ironic he created the same bloated donkey of a law for Boston isn’t it?
‘...just show me the guy that can get it done and he has my support.”
Make double-sure the guy you support is telling the truth, and not pandering to your desires to win votes and support.
“I dont care who proposes it, just show me the guy that can get it done and he has my support.”
Point, game & match.
So quickly as I typed someone already said what I figured many would. He’s creating a big bandwagon to jump on.
That he promoted the same crap in mass. will hurt him badly - very badly.
If he can articulate well that it was a major mistake and somehow shift some blame he’ll have a better shot - but we know better.
Yeah, he’s got a lot of room to talk about socialized medicine and how “bad” it is....
Did I miss something?
Did this RINO use the past month to campaign actively against socialist medicine using HIS OWN FAILED SYSTEM AS AN EXAMPLE???
NO?
THEN ROMNEY, STFU AND GO BUY a million copies of your own book.
Kind of ironic coming from someone who has and would implement his own brand of socialist disaster.
As far as cutting off funding, I guess he thinks he’s a political genius and nobody else ever thought of that.
Piss on Romney and all his socialist-loving sycophants.
