Former Massachusetts governor and 2008 GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney predicted that President Obama's massive health care bill would be passed by Congress, and he outlined a legislative strategy to overturn the bill by cutting off the funding necessary to implement it.
Speaking in Dallas yesterday as part of the publicity tour for his new book, No Apology: The Case for American Greatness, Romney said that the key to his plan was for the GOP to reclaim majorities in both houses of Congress as well as the White House.
Romney said that those members voting for the health care bill were guilty of "clueless behavior", and he predicts heavy losses heavy losses for Democrats in this year's midterm elections. "The American people are not going to stand still for this bill and the government running our healthcare, said Romney. "The American people will be with us and they will throw those guys out."

What a clever, fresh repartee! So stale, so dull, and limp.
Anyways, you showed you cared by responding, and refuting your declaration.
Further, it pleases me to annoy your ilk.
Mitt, or any Romney, gutsy?
Please.
You are preaching to the choir. I have actually lived in a country with socialized healthcare even though just for a year. It only benefits the poor. It does not benefit the middle class or the rich. The really sick and old are the most to suffer under socialized healthcare.
Even though I do not support Romney for president in 2012, I admire his willingness to help the GOP cause here. I learned a long time ago never to kick any gift horse in the teeth.
Romney created gay marriage AND RomneyCARE and now
America shall have both by his fascist unlawful decrees (from which he FLED).
Mitt RomneyCARE (D, RINO): "I'm not running as the Republican view
or a continuation of Republican values.
That's not what brings me to the race.
(Backstabber Romney Video, accessed 9/19/07)
"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party
over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged
to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support.
Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates
wouldnt make any sense at all.""
-- President Ronald Reagan
Mitt RomneyCARE (D, RINO): I'm very clear I think, to the people across the Commonwealth
my "R" didn't stand so much for Republican as it does for reform."
(Video, accessed 9/19/07)
"A political party cannot be all things to all people.
It must represent certain fundamental beliefs
which must not be compromised to political expediency
or simply to swell its numbers."
-- President Ronald Reagan
We will just use his current “I am against it” LOL
Ron Ramsey is my first choice too...
I’ll vote for Zach Wamp if he gets the R nomination...
But I’m voting for Ron in the Primary in May...
All the GOP Gov canidates will be in our area this weekend..
I dont know the rest...
Tim Gobble is my first choice for 3rd District US Rep to take Wamps place...
It is gutsy and concrete for Romney to lay this out there.

Romney the two time draft dodger is gutsy ???
In what Bizzaro world does that happen ???
concret is stable and firm and solid...
that does not describe the indecisive Romney
Mitt Romney: Have you learned your lesson yet?
Crown me or I shall destroy the GOP again.
Now go buy my book, and play with you (sic) bananas.
Ah, the dung mosquitoes are out today. They’re funniest when they take themselves seriously.
Now you need to learn how to tell the difference between a gift horse and a Trojan horse. The original Trojan horse was presented as a gift, if I remember correctly.
TJ, you flippantly post inane insults, call us "petulant Romney haters," imply that we're "dung mosquitoes," defend RomneyCare in Massachusetts and blame Democrats for its disastrous failure even though Romney has since declared it one of his greatest accomplishments and has called it "conservative" when its very essense, of bigger government overseeing something it has no business being involved in, betrays conservative principle ...
... and you prattle about how "they're funniest when they take themselves seriously"?
I wish I could say the same of you. However, there's nothing funny about gullible Romney pushers who take themselves seriously. In their naivete and short-sighted stupidity, they -- including you, dear -- threaten the foundation of this nation. There's nothing humorous about that.
Been a freeper for two decades. One would have to be blind to not notice FR has now become an anti-Romney message board with news links. It's very annoying. I merely pointed that out, and was insulted...so I kindly replied with the same. Then you claim the high road, and then call me naive and stupid. This is 2nd grade stuff. Looks like the petulant comment hit home.
I'm not pushing Romney. Notice the sparse page view counts on articles compared to 6 years ago. People are sick of the Mitt bashing. It would nice if the democrats received 1/10th the insults Mitt gets here. Where was the hate for McCain? He's a hardcore dem on almost every position compared to Mitt.
My sole point was few people know Romney presented a healthcare bill, dems loaded it up with pork, he vetoed it and they over-ruled him and passed it.
Likewise, Reagan's budgets would have produced a surplus, and the dems loaded up his bills and created deficits. I suppose FR would have been a bash Reagan site in a parallel universe. (roll-eyes)
I will wait to see what he does before reaching conclusion as you have. My crystal ball is not working.
They? ( Yeah, I know, me. You might like the royal ‘we’ too )
So. The second response from you who cares not. Or, for you, from them that cares not.
T. Jefferson( above ), Romney flack.
Anyone know if Romney had anything to do with health care in Mass?
Hehehe.....
Wow!
Really?????
Thanks for the giggle! I REALLY needed it! :^)
Look at his past.
