You might mosie on over to FOX website and look for today's Glenn Beck Show's Video for this. I never thought I'd hear it, but I did. On the Glenn Beck Show today on FOX News Channel, Glenn Beck reported Alaska Second Amendment groups meeting. The Mistake: Glenn Beck looked into the camera and said, "Violence isn't the answer."
Glenn Beck guest Governor Palin then joined him and echoed the words just as much into the camera when it was her turn to speak, "Violence is not the answer." Oh, well, even a cat loses its equilibrium and will fall out of a tree once in a while and bang his head.
Violence is not the issue. Reminding second amendment purists who invoke due process that 'violence is not the answer' is like lecturing Schwarzenegger on getting some exercise. I am most disappointed that both of them would attribute violence to Alaskans who subsist on a spirit of preparedness and anticipate more harassment from their very own servants. The problem today is that such anticipation is proving to be reasonable. With talk of martial law and with a history of servants' having confiscated guns, a little support for the citizen would be welcome. I am surprised that two people who understand our public servants so very well would even suggest that Alaskans would be ones to throw the first punch, or fire the first shot.
At what?
Gun owners, whether they be in Fairbanks or Honolulu, do not seek change at gunpoint, but safety and protection of our independence at counterpoint, depending heavily on due process. Gun owners are not the ones who have circumvented due process, kids. These two ought to know by now that the sovereign are not the problem, nor are they the aggressors; the servants are

Yes, I noticed that. Beck is so paranoid about being accused of inciting violence that he was acting like a parody.
The heck with that nonsense. It is the Left who is using the power of forced coercion to remake society. Let them apologize.

When she said that?
just asking... :oP
“Mosie”?? I’ve heard of Mosie Lister who wrote some great songs.
If Beck or Palin suggested people should actually fight the government with firearms the media would smear them as kooks and criminals and demand their arrests and imprisonment.
I have a better idea - since the author is making the claim, how about HE provide the link so we don't have to go rootin' all over the Fox News website to find what he is talking about?
It is absurd in this day and age for a blogger NOT to provide a hotlink for this in his text.
And given that deception is a very important weapon, I don't think we should expect Glenn and Sarah to avoid its use.
So leading public figures are concerned about violence and say so.
Isn’t it apparent to all of us that this country, divided and angry, is a tinderbox right now?
I’m concerned, too.
Violence can take many forms.
If gun owners — and I am one of them — truly believe that gun ownership is a deterrent to crime and violence, they should join the call for calm rather than overreacting.
Quit being one-issue whiners and look at the bigger picture. We are in a turbulent time, and I appreciate those who urge a non-violence approach.
If you listen to Beck consistently, he’s explained on many occasions that he’s afraid of the “Bubba” effect (maybe he says factor.) But he is getting his info from law officers that warn him of the possiblity of people reacting with violence, and then the gov’t using this as a means of “cracking down” on the electorate (i.e. something akin to martial law.)
Anyhoo, I’d imagine that’s where he’s coming from.
exactly, this writer is stirring up things even though he is right in his overall message, I think the connotation was about an “allegedly” militia type group or something and both Glenn and Sarah were saying overall that viloence is not the answer but she said don’t believe what the media is saying
Remember even some good blogger will use names like Palin and Beck to generate traffic on their sites
.....”Violence isn’t the answer.”.....
You must understand that is a proforma statement, a disclaimer. Beck and Sarah for that matter, must always be able to say they did not incite the public to violence.
They must be blameless and around to pick up the pieces, to wave a flag and create a rally point.
That can’t be done if they are the scape goat on whom the sins are hung.
As another poster has said, Beck and Palin have to say this.
Doesn’t mean they believe it.
I don’t believe for a second that Palin wouldn’t pick up a gun to protect her own.
Amen.... rave on brother
It’s the same way Beck always says, “I hope I’m wrong,” when he’s exposing the latest Commie plot from the Kenyan in Chief - that way he can’t be accused of rooting for Bambi to fail.
You must know the progressives have been planning for this moment for decades. Other than Fox, they own the media. If they want to smear you and make the public think you're a radical fomenting violence and revolution, they have the will and the way to form some lasting first impressions on the gullible masses.
Remember the Ok. City bombing? It was talk radio's fault. Anything that happens now will get that smear treatment multiplied by whatever obama's latest deficit number is. No matter who starts what, those evil Tea Parties and talk radio listeners will be blamed. Tread carefully.
Violence is a better threat than a solution, but sometimes it is a solution if all other means have been pursued and justice cannot be had.
obama is wrong. The process is very important!
He is right, it is not the answer- until we fail at the soap box and the ballot box. Then the ammunition box comes into play.
