10 AM Rules Committee meeting (C-span2 LIVE all day)
11 AM Stupak press conference
12 PM Demonstration at the Capitol
3 PM Obama meets with the Democratic caucus
Sunday
2 p.m.: The House will debate for one hour the rules of debate for the reconciliation bill and the Senate bill.
3 p.m.: The House will vote to end debate and vote on the rules of the debate.
3:15 p.m.: The House will debate the reconciliation package for two hours.
5:15 p.m.: The House will vote on the reconciliation package.
5:30 p.m.: The House will debate for 15 minutes on a Republican substitute and then vote on the substitute.
6 p.m.: The House will vote on the final reconciliation package.
6:15 p.m.: If the reconciliation bill passes, the House will immediately vote on the Senate bill, without debate.

Anyone know how many are in DC today? CSPAN showed a kind of thin crowd (by RAT approved design?) But our ranks may have been spread out over several blocks!

Me three. I may turn on TV for NCAA tournament a bit later. Have CSPAN2 in another tab but have speakers turned off. I am afraid that my head may explode if I see/hear any of this. I honestly can say that I have never been so angry in my life of 50+ years. I think that there are many of us that have reached the point of willing to die in this struggle, rather than “live” under this tyranny.

Im trying to. I just woke up after stumbling home at 6:30 this AM after a 17 hour shift. I’m doing my best for my patients with relatively little reimbursement now (think of what a lawyer or executive would make for 17 hours straight, and what I made last night doesn’t even compare.) I wake up to watch the dems flush my retirement, my country, and my career down the toilet. Not a happy morning.
As soon as we get a single payer system, or the government starts to tell me what I can or can’t do to treat my patients, I will retire and open my quilt shop. They have cut reimbursement on medicare and medicaid pt so far that it costs most of us money to see those patients. Now they will cut another 500 million from the system, increase controls and head us toward a single payer system
Then, as my career goes down the toilet, I will get to pay even higher taxes for them to ruin my life. Sorry, not much optimism here today.
Wait a sec- Wasserman-Schultz is going to remind us that her proborts (am I the only one who made that up) are going to RISE up in fury...
