The project, which is tentatively titled Sarah Palins Alaska. Palin is asking for $1 million to $1.5 million per episode.
Sarah Palin is following a trajectory more Kardashian than politician, demanding a big paycheck in her quest for reality-TV stardom. After shopping her TV docudrama to major broadcast and cable networks, two channels A&E and Discovery have expressed interest in the project, which is tentatively titled Sarah Palins Alaska. Palin is asking for $1 million to $1.5 million per episode, considered a hefty amount for a first-year cable series. The show executive-produced by reality-television guru Marc Burnett will feature the former governor touring her home state, completing activities such as visiting fishing boats or trekking to a gold mine. There had better be a caribou-hunting episode or else this really has no business calling itself a Sarah Palin Alaska show.

No, I’m not. And I’m somewhat at a loss as to whom we have a strong candidate beyond her. Romney, Pawlenty, Hucakbee and the like are definitely not the answer!
But Obama really is shredding our foreign relations worldwide and Palin is going to have to show her serious side with a substantial grasp of the issues—not just slogans—if she’s going to overcome the image that’s been painted of her.

Seinfeld and others asked for and got more than that! She probably should be asking for $3 million per episode, IMO. Heck, why not ask $20 million? Since you're shooting for more than it's worth then shoot big.

Governors most often step up to win the presidency—and they all study up on international affairs before running.

you seem to be making the mistake of advancing a sensible, logical argument to a nitwit.
Palin has left him. She is G-O-N-E.
Lover boy can’t deal with it.

Ironically, that’s my minimum price as well.

Well, FWIW, I say let the market decide.
Anyway, it's not the monetary aspect that bothers me. I think she's nuts to offer up her privacy.

O.K., so what? Private citizens can demand whatever they think their involvement in such an enterprise is worth.True dat. Sarah Palin has the same right to cash in on her fame as Paris Hilton does. It's legal, even ethical. But it ain't exactly presidential.
How many FReepers would be defending "Bill Clinton's Arkansas," and how many would be blasting it as the trashiest display in the history of American politics?

She's clearly following Reagan's roadmap to the White House, mile marker by mile marker. Check out "Death Valley Days." He did the same thing.Reagan did "Death Valley Days" after resigning halfway through his term as governor? I must have missed that part.

Seems to me some other TV personality had a series and he turned out pretty well? Wasn’t he a Governor or something?

Some of us for some time have been saying Palin has no political office intentions after resigning Oh, I think she does have political intentions.... The problem is that she seems to be banking on celebrity.

....not just slogansif shes going to overcome the image thats been painted of her.
Are you allowed to talk about her real image outside of conservative forums?
She does have an image problem and this show isn't going to help. She needs to be a TV personality\commentator\voice-over for wilderness shows or be a political leader and not just a headline maker with various statements on Facebook.
Right now, I don't believe she's a candidate and consuming her time by doing "Mutual Of Omaha's Wild Kingdom" doesn't change my opinion.
Who cares if Reagan did a TV show? People today are not fascinated with images from a far off land as much as they once were. There's many more airplanes today.
We're more impressed if people can educate us with their vast intelligence and realize they're not another dimbulb 'hooked on phonics' (core, corps, or corpse?).
I think Sarah has cleared the water, almost over the fin, and looking to the other side of the shark for a safe landing. Not there yet, but close.

"Heck, why not ask $20 million? Since you're shooting for more than it's worth then shoot big.It is worth what somebody will pay for it. Once contracted, if it doesn't pay back the organizer, she will no longer command the price paid. That's not so hard or complicated is it?
