Sarah Palin Asking for Over $1 Million Per Episode for Reality Show.
New York Magazine ^ | March 19, 2010 | Josh Duboff

The project, which is tentatively titled Sarah Palin’s Alaska. Palin is asking for $1 million to $1.5 million per episode.

Sarah Palin is following a trajectory more Kardashian than politician, demanding a big paycheck in her quest for reality-TV stardom. After shopping her “TV docudrama” to major broadcast and cable networks, two channels — A&E and Discovery — have expressed interest in the project, which is tentatively titled Sarah Palin’s Alaska. Palin is asking for $1 million to $1.5 million per episode, considered a “hefty amount for a first-year cable series.” The show — executive-produced by reality-television guru Marc Burnett — will feature the former governor touring her home state, completing activities such as visiting fishing boats or trekking to a gold mine. There had better be a caribou-hunting episode or else this really has no business calling itself a Sarah Palin Alaska show.

Every time a Palinista compares Palin to Obama as if that enhances her image or credentials in any way, I laugh.

If you're calling me a Palinista, that's funny. Actually, I think I could do better as president than Obama. I trust the average conservative person to run this country, even if they didn't graduate from Harvard.

You were saying ...

good for her - she deserves it after they tried to bankrupt her with all those frivolous suits in Ak

And the interesting there here -- is -- that people even on Free Republic also try to do their best to destroy Palin... it's interesting how Palin separates out the conservatives from the liberal-lefties -- even here on Free Republic... :-)

Ideology, not sign up time, makes one a troll. Bummer is a professional Marxist and he is backed up by professional Marxists.

Please describe what you believe would have been more virtuous for Sarah to do given that a fluke in Alaskan ethics law was permitting her to be maliciously targeted and was eating her, and Alaska, out of house and home with the legal costs ALONE, even though every single case was found meritless. There was no way to punish the harassers to get them to stop.

Either be taken seriously, or taken lightly. Get on the road to the White House, or get in the dunking cage.

Getting exposure to the American public that is not a "contrived image" and charicature that the liberal-lefties try to foist on the American public as representing Sarah Palin -- is exactly the "road" that she should be on... on the way to the White House...

And the PalinGestapos relentless attacks on anyone who dares speak facts and truths

You've become a bad self-parody, Bob. I spoke the truth about the liberal slant of the networks and Nat Geo, but you slime those you disagree with as Gestapo - Goodwin's Law, Bob, you lose, but, then again, you turned into a RINO loser long ago.

“She’s actually someone that the American public can truly identify with..., not the made-up images that are created in “Washington”... :-)”

If you don’t think Sarah Palin’s “image” was, has and still is being carefully crafted over her few short years in politics, there is little hope for you.

What scares me is peiople like you vote. You’re easily duped.

What exactly is your point? I’ve been a solid backer of Palin for a year and a half.

She clearly knew her stuff when she was governor, and she needs to master some different stuff to be president. Americans generally like to elect former governors as presidents and when former governors step up to run for president they generally have to do some homework to get up to speed on international affairs.

She’s got a greater challenge than many because the Democrats and the media have convinced so many moderates that she’s a know-nothing of limited intellect. Rove was on point in saying she’s a viable, qualified candidate but/if she uses this year wisely to get prepared for the full-time run she’d have coming.

Because a plant manager doesn’t have to know how every widget in a factory works doesn’t mean that Palin doesn’t have to work to be articulate on a slew of issues.

Amen brother. No way I am voting a “Reality” star for POTUS.

It's a good thing that no one thought that about Reagan and being in Hollywood and a movie star... LOL ...

Obama is the best example available about the dangers of putting amateurs in the Oval Office.

He's a socialist, though.

I have to chuckle at people calling you a troll when you've been here since 1998......LOL

And thinking that Palin isn't qualified for the job.... Doesn't have the staying power to take the heat. That's idology? That makes a person a troll?

You're not only the the "ditz-wagon"... you're the scary ones. Someone comes along and says what your itching ears want to hear, and that's all it takes. People like you elected OBAMA...

Okay..., make note here (and anyone else who is interested) ... never hire you for a political consultant's job... LOL ...

Nobody is trying to destroy Pali, we’re trying to separate fact from fiction so we can make an informed decision when we go to the voting booth.

Fact? From the guy who compares Palin supporters to the Gestapo? You truly are a deceitful liar, Bob.

Nope, the ugly truth is she speaks the truth and you want more sophisticated answers.

Why, yes -- sophisticated answers would be a very fine thing. I want a sophisticated president, because we live in a complicated world where real problems have to be addressed carefully, and cannot be solved by slogans and folksy mannerisms. Surely Obama has taught you the truth of that?

Discussions about what to do with China, Iran, Russia, economic issues, and the like ... those ought to merit sophisticated thought, shouldn't they?

Do you, the self-styled pundit, really think that a president doesn't need to be capable of making and dealing with sophisticated arguments?

Bummer’s a professional socialist and marxist and the oldie is a troll by ideology.

What looks like bumbling is nearly always something to gum up the works of what would have been a normal healthy nation. I am a supernaturalist and believe Satan is coordinating the “bumbling” — very nicely.

Can “Mitt Romney’s Massachusetts” or “Tim Pawlenty’s Minnesota” be far behind?

The trouble -- is -- no one is interested in either those states or those candidates... LOL ...
