Progressive control-freaks: 'It's almost as if the U.S. Constitution did not exist'
WorldNetDaily ^ | 3/20/10 | Henry Lamb

Whether they are called Democrats, socialists, Marxists or progressives, the current leadership in Washington has but one goal: control. The current leadership has demonstrated its belief that government must control virtually every facet of the economy, of politics and the life of every citizen.

With unprecedented arrogance, this leadership manufactured nearly $2 trillion with which to exercise its control over the banking industry, the auto industry and over virtually every other entity that was persuaded to take the federal handouts. Government is now firmly in control and working overtime to expand its control.

Liberals are so stupid, they've deluded themselves into believing that the minute ObamaCare gets signed into law, their whole "healthcare" debacle goes away. No it won't. We're not going to let it.

If ObamaCare becomes law (a very big IF; Pelosi still hasn't bought enough votes) the November election will be a referendum on ObamaCare.

But! Rather than Republican candidates just running on repeal, the GOP should write a new contract and call it *Repeal Plus*. To really scare liberals, model it after Newt Gingrich's "Contract with America" and have every Republican House candidate sign it.

Like the Gingrich contract, promise to bring to a vote, using a revolutionary procedure known as an "up-or-down vote," during the first 100 days, things like the following:

-- Allowing cross-state competition among health insurance companies, eliminating their antitrust exemption. It'll inject into the health insurance industry a phenomemom called "the free market." This will force insurance companies to compete, which -- amazingly enough -- will bring prices down. Must be a demand-supply thing.

-- Malpractice insurance reform (tort reform). Trial lawyers will love it! But we have to pass it so they can find out what's in it.

-- Allowing the importation of prescription drugs from Canada and Europe. After all, if Hollywood liberals can get their drugs from Columbia and Mexico, then normal Americans should be able to import cheaper drugs from Canada and Europe.

-- Allowing small bidnesses to offer insurance to employees by pooling together and forming a big pool of customers nationwide. If unions can unionize a big pool of workers to engage in collective bargaining, why can't small businesses form big insurance purchasing pools? But unlike unions, small businesses don't habitually engage in destructive behavior.

-- Outlaw the Democrat Party through 'deem and pass' (only half-joking).

These are just a few examples of real reform which don't involve death panels, an IRS Gestapo, rationing, healthcare prison sentences, abortion "health clinics", long waiting lines, half a trillion in tax hikes, mammogram guidelines by Steny Hoyer, prostate guidelines by Nancy Pelosi -- in other words, nothing here involves "reforming" America into another Cuba. (Check out Rep. Paul Ryan's excellent plan.)

By the way, since "healthcare" "reform" appears to be such an "emergency" (and MUST BE VOTED ON THIS WEEKEND OR ELSE THOUSANDS OF UNINSURED PANHANDLERS WILL DIE BY MONDAY!), you don't have to wait 3 or 4 years for the *Repeal Plus* plan to kick in. It goes into effect immediately. We won't just repeal, we will transcend ObamaCare, and dismiss it as a sad, bizarre chapter whose 2,700 pages are even now being written. Wait, didn't Reagan say something like that about liberals' favorite form of government?

After the anti-Democrat bloodbath at the ballot box this November, even Democrats (assuming there are any left in Congress) will join in for the ride and pass the *Repeal Plus* plan. Dare Obama to veto. What's he going to say? Oh, gee, I can't sign this because, uh, um, we have to wait years for my, um, uh, big government takeover plan to take effect. Yeah, that's it!

Anyway, that's...
My Two Cents...

Liberals are so stupid, ...

They aren't liberals, they are neo-Stalinists. With that point elucidated, their carelessness of processual concerns is quickly explained.

They're totalitarians. They're The Beast.

Liberals are so stupid...

I am so tired of reading that. They are not stupid. Stupid suggest not knowing what they are doing...just stumbling around stubbing a toe here, bashing a knee there.

It is a misrepresentation that allows a moral victory for them in some obscure way. 'They are stupid, forgive them for they no not what they are doing.' Bollocks!

This an evil systematic plan that has been in the works for 75-100 years.(maybe longer) That takes intelligence. It lets them left of the hook if you call them stupid. We should stop it. Lets try 'evil' instead.

"Liberals are so stupid"

No, they're brilliant.

You and I are not liberals--we're normal human beings. I am one of the few atheists here on FR; the vast majority here are religious. These FReepers prize their God, their families, etc. in their lives. They have ideas about the place of God in their lives and their own place in their communities (they participate and want decent communities, but they primarily, as conservatives, want to be free to CHOOSE their interaction with the community, and of course choose which parts of the community with which they interact--and they want to be left alone by the power of government).

Liberals are different.

I know a lot of them, and they are startled and offended when they learn that just because I don't believe in what others do, it doesn't mean I loathe and patronize the religious in America--the vast majority. Liberals dismiss the religiousity of the founders, and they think strong Christian belief the sign of an ignorant person. Liberals despise Christianity, but you knew that.

What you also know, but haven't taken into account, is that Liberals certainly do believe in a kind of god--the god of the state. And of course they see themselves as being the only ones powerful enough to control that state.

This isn't about winning an election or two, this is about taking what Lyndon Johnson said about what the civil rights legislation he signed would do--deliver votes for decades to come. They are playing the long con, not just another Superbowl.

They are True Believers; they have been looking for a way to end the back and forth of the parties taking control in Washington, and they know the key is healthcare--when the state controls that, all the other pieces fall into place.

So--why would they run when they are THIS CLOSE to passing a healthcare bill that most people don't want?

When I talk to conservatives--even here on FR--about the only way to end a social program would be to kill it, now, and forget what we've already put into it. "I'm against social security, but I've been paying into it for years," one FRreeper wrote me long ago. "Now that it's here, even if I'm against it I WANT WHAT'S COMING TO ME."

Words to a liberal's ears.

If they pass this bill, the Olberman's and Courics will know they've got their marching orders. (Heck, I hear even the Fox News radio, and see the MSN page when I sign online, and it sounds like the DNC feed.) Their job from now on is to cover healthcare the way they do Medicare, Social Security, etc--as a given, as something that IS given...to The American People.

If we've got FREEPERS who won't sacrifice the social programs they claim to loathe because they've paid into them, what makes you think anyone who is getting "free healthcare" being paid for by the Evil Insurers and The Rich with their mansions is going to vote to take that away?

The anger level is such that the dems may very well lose the House, possibly even the Senate...and they will secretly be glad to do it. Because once the nager level drops, and the Republicans say "OK, now we're going to start dismantling this thing" (if they can", the ignorant will be saying, "But wait a minute, we've already been paying into this, why can't we just wait until 2014 and see how it works? I mean, they told me it would be cheaper, and I could use that, the way the economy's been..."

I hate to say it, but many folks here are living in a bubble--they don't know how certain folks we love are perceived out there thanks to the MSM spin, and they are about to get a huge shock if this thing passes. Because from now on, if the Republicans actually do the right thing, EVERY SINGLE ELECTION will be about this:

"We're the Democratic party, and we're not going to let the Republicans cut your healthcare coverage."

And they'll be telling the truth. (For once.)

And once they regain the House and Senate, which they will someday, they will be "slaughtering" their way deeper into our lives, and we will let them...because they already took our money, and hey, we want what's coming to us.

Of course I don't think we're all like this. But the libs don't need much to regain and hold power as The Party That GAVE You FREE Healthcare. A few million illegal votes oughta be enough.

The libs ain't dumb. In fact, when it comes to short-term political risk vs. long-term political security, I wish we had some of those dummies on OUR side.

P.S. To finish my point--the libs are taking all of these risks because of their religious belief in the sanctity of themselves. What a power trip, to remake a whole nation and "give" "free healthcare" to all...and what a gift to themselves, to take over those aspects of the nation they deem necessary for their holy war.

After all, THEY are CORRECT and GOOD, so those who oppose them must be evil--what's a little lying and stealing to defend true evil?

It’s just words on paper.

It’s like be a Jew being pushed out of your house in Germany and saying you were a WWI veteran.

Paper, words means nothing compared to force, and there are hundreds of thousands of people willing to force people to do anything for a nice job.

Well, with Obamacare, there will be psychiatric counseling for the likes of you, most likely in a fresh air lumber camp north of the Arctic Circle where you will remediate environmental damage done by Haliburton.

After which I will be force-walked down to Alaska and slaughtered to feed the freaking elk which are increasing in number thanks to the pipeline. A worthy end, praise Gaia! :P

It ain’t almost! It is EXACTLY as if the constitution did not exist! Look at all the hubbub about the unconstitutionality of how some have proposed to “pass” the bill. What difference does the method make when the whole bill is a constitutional abortion? This is just the latest in a long string of violations going back into the mists of time. If the country were to return to the constitution most of the federal government would have to be shut down and almost the entire congress along with the whitehouse would be subject to impeachment.

Of course it exists. Here's proof:

And before I’m accused of simply flogging the problem, the solution is to RE-ELECT ONLY those who pass Constitutional muster. Before you say “My guy’s doing a SWELL job,” check him out at http://www.gradegov.com/

“This an evil systematic plan that has been in the works for 75-100 years.(maybe longer)”

It has been working since God Almighty divided night from day and the land from the sea. The “religious” nature of this Truth blinds many to it.

Think about Evil in purely physical terms, like, say, ‘thrust’. In order to function at all it must a.)exist in a quantifiable state and b.)never change (direction). But unless somebody is shoveling people into ovens we tend to think Evil is asleep. That is we MISTAKE Evils’ destination for Evil itself.

The problem is (especially in America)that for much of Evils’ efforts we can't really do anything about it except speak against it and witness to Good with our lives...that is until Evil starts approaching it's prime objective state.

Once it is law, it will NEVER go away. They will claim that Republicans are trying to take away health care if we try. Do you think Social Security went away after it became law?

The Founders made it quite clear that the Constitution belongs to the People. They went on to explain that no government could resist the tendency to steadily and surely creep toward tyranny. It is entirely up to the People to enforce the Constitution; and, that one of the purposes of the Second Ammendment.

The current crop of Congresscritters has lost sight of all of this. It would grieve me if the task of restoring normalcy would fall on those who live now. I took an Oath. I am up to the task.
