House Minority Whip Eric Cantor (R-Va.) said "there's no way” Democrats have the votes to pass the healthcare bill.
The second-ranking House Republican, charged with keeping his own troops in line, said he has been monitoring the Democratic whip count and, according to his tally, they don’t have the 216 needed to pass the bill.
"We know that we need 38 Democrat 'no' votes to defeat this bill, publicly, right now there are 33 stated 'no' votes on the Democratic side, we also know there are 12 members of a so-called Stupak group that are standing firm against the attempt to allow for government funding of abortions and we also know that if you add that 12 to the already 33 Democrat no votes, there's no way they can pass this bill," Cantor said at a Friday press conference on Capitol Hill.

The Stupak blue dogs will likely show they’re neutered when they roll over at tomorrow’s press conference. Will be surprised if they don’t. Blue Dog is a euphemism for fake moderate.
I hope this is correct. Unfortunately, during the Cavuto Show on FBN (6pm Friday) announced that the dems have the votes. Uggghhh!

Well, Shep seems to be pretty favorably inclined to leftwing causes and issues. He’s pretty much a Democrat I’d guess.
And yeah, the Public Option is coming. They probably can’t move it this year, but they will try. More likely they push it through next year if they have enough strength left in the House and Senate. I’d guess the Dems retain both, but by much smaller majorities.
This HCR project is just the framework for a much bigger, more ruinous entitlement program the left has in mind for us.
Sadly, they will get it. We are fighting a demographic tide that it just almost impossible to overcome. We are following in Europe’s footsteps, just a few years behind them is all.

Just found out that FOX's method of tallying the votes is erroneous.
Guess this answers the question of whether or not Fox supports the same cause as the state run media. It’s sickening how INCREDIBLY pro socialism they are today. We lost count how many Fox headlines on 3/19/2010 are spreading the lies of Pelosi...they’re practically cheering for the Democrats over Obamacare.
