Brad Ellsworth Abandons Stupak, Will Vote Yes
The Weekly Standard ^ | 03/19/2010 | John McCormack

Posted on 03/19/2010 2:44:19 PM PDT by tsmith130

Another big get for Dems: Rep Brad Ellsworth, a former Yes vote who shared the concerns of the Stupak dozen and was intensely wooed by both sides, will vote Yes on the Senate bill, his spokesman confirms to me.

“He’s a Yes,” Jonathan Kott, communications director for Ellsworth, just said by phone. “He will vote in favor of health care reform.”

A press release detailing his rationale is forthcoming from his office.

He’s trying to save his Indiana Senate Nomination....

The State Party, a WHOLEY-OWNED Subsidiary of the SEIU, has made it very clear that they aren’t happy with him.

I would love to see a number of these folks publicly say yes just to get it to a vote but then vote no.

Ellsworth may be trying to save his hide amongst fellow Hoosier Democrats - but a vote like his won’t play well in much of Indiana AND particularly among Independents.

Bad political strategizing on his part...

“Bad political strategizing on his part..”

Maybe, or maybe not...
November is a LONG way off, and Dems are counting on this summers illegal alien Demonstrations to save them, like they did in 2006

Yeah but his yes and union support will still end up with his losing the senate race in Indiana. He is dead meat.

“He will vote in favor of health care reform.”

He's NOT voting in favor of "health care reform." He's voting for a 2,500 page bill that has nothing to do with healthcare reform and everything to do with control. But, if these tyrants want to continue to delude themselves with Orwellian thought-language, then so be it. They'll hear from us this weekend!

Ellsworth is from the 8th district which is the middle west part of Indiana. I don't think that area is populated with the “big” city lib types. The federal prison is located in Terre Haute so you have a lot of government workers living there.

Brad is so incredibly vulnerable to the DUmmy 'doc fix' Democrats plan doc fix after reform -- leaked memo attached, Politico (adds $371B) that I hope he has a new job lined up for 2011. He's going to need it.

Hoosiers just locked up Bayh’s Senate seat, although I think Ellsworth was likely to lose anyway.

He just committed political suicide. His chances of winning the Senate seat have just dissapeared. People here in the Hoosier state, like others across the country, are really pissed off at what the jackass party is doing.

Him trying to defend the “deemed” bill will NOT fly here in Indiana.

We will soon be finding out where most of America now stands when it comes to Socialism . We know how corrupt our Congress has become. Will of the People & The Constitution mean nothing to these idiots. True Patriots will rise up against these Socialists. We will not lie down & be taken without a fight. I never thought i would see the day, when i would be fighting the Communists in my own back yard.
