WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama is allowing thousands of Liberians living in the United States to remain in the country for an additional year and a half.
A presidential memorandum issued Friday applies to Liberians who fled the country amid years of civil war and who are living in the United States under "deferred enforced departure status."
Their stay was to have expired on March 31, but Obama is directing the Department of Homeland Security to extend it by 18 months.

Gee I wonder why ...
They may be citizens by the end of the year.
Man,
at first I thought he was letting Libertarians stay in the USA
and I thought gee that’s mighty .........
And so will all of the illegal aliens if he has his way.

Don’t be surprised when Obama pulls this same stunt with millions of illegal alien Mexicans and anyone coming through there to get here. With the war going on down there, he’s got the excuse he wants.
That is great; the libraries will now be open.
The way I read it:
White House extends status of Liberlans in US

And NO! We have too many Liberals as it is. Send them to Liberalia.
So...the descendants of the slaves who returned to their homeland after they were freed have actually returned to the abominable country who enslaved their ancestors?
The reason... sharia and caliphate... and skin color.
LLS
Yeah, I thought it said 'Librarians'.
Libraians, Libertarians, not so bad.
But ...
How many people are there in Liberia?
Didn’t every one of them want to run away and “seek asylum”???????
Do we let em all in?
Do we let em all stay?
Only a minority of Liberians are descended from freed American slaves. Liberia has been beset by violent sociopaths—a fate which we in America all face now. I knew a Liberian former govt. official before the criminal coups, and he was a neat guy. We are all up against the same evil. I don’t want Liberians, or any other foreign group, settling here in large numbers, but we should work to help them achieve what we all want: freedom and security.
Thank you for being a voice of reason.
