Well said.

Most recognize that socialism is in conflict with the Constitution.
Rather than civil war or revolution, I like to think of the option as no more complicated than patriots defending the Constitution.

“Options” is a plural noun. It will come to one option or another, and I hope the option that preserves freedom is a peaceful solution that convinces the socialists to respect the Constitution.

Mr. Jefferson had little to do with the drafting of the Constitution. He was in France during the Constitutional Convention and the subsequent ratification debates.

Honestly, all I know is part of what they said, and I am not a Constitutional scholar, nor an attorney, so I am not prepared to defend or reject this in any way. This is all well above my paygrade and knowledge base, so I will leave it to others to argue.

I think there will be many legal challenges on this in the coming years...
