(TPM) CNN: Cao May Vote Yes
TPM ^ | 3-19-10 | TPM

CNN is reporting that Rep. Anh "Joseph" Cao (R-LA) is again undecided, even considering voting yes. Cao had previously said he would definitely vote against the bill, despite voting yes in November. President Obama yesterday asked him to take another look at the abortion language in the Senate bill and see if he could vote for it

CNN is a mouthpiece for Hussein. I don’t believe the crap...did they have a soundbite from Cao, or was their source an “unnamed Demonrat aide”?

Yawn.

If anything, this debacle spotlights the low quality of the clowns who get into congress.

Mr. Cao being exhibit #1 at the moment.

Cao is a district in New Orleans that is who knows about 99% democrat and or around who knows really high around 99% welfare recipients. but he still will vote no even though all in his district want him to vote yes and for socialism.

Yes, this is old non-news. Cao is a solid no.

If they’re trying to pick off a Republican, they’re not to condfident that they can get enough Democrats.

Cao would have provided cover for some wavering Dems. That's why they wanted him so badly. His vote would have brought votes with him.

TRI CARE FOR LIFE This from a google search:
http://economicspolitics.blogspot.com/2009/05/tricare-for-life-is-obama-trying-to.html

This option would help reduce the costs of TFL, as well as costs for Medicare, by introducing minimum out-of pocket requirements for beneficiaries. Under this option, TFL would not cover any of the first $525 of an enrollee’s cost-sharing liabilities for calendar year 2011 and would limit coverage to 50 percent of the next $4,725 in Medicare cost sharing that the beneficiary incurred. (Because all further cost sharing would be covered by TFL, enrollees could not pay more than $2,888 in cost sharing in that year.) http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/99xx/doc9925/12-18-HealthOptions.pdf

Tricare fee increases imposed last week by the Defense Department will be repealed by a provision of the compromise 2010 defense authorization bill unveiled Wednesday by House and Senate negotiators.
The fee increases were announced on Sept. 30 and took effect on Oct. 1, but the defense bill, HR 2647, includes a provision barring any fee increases until the start of fiscal 2011.

Retired Army Maj. Gen. Bill Matz, president of the National Association for Uniformed Services, said the announcement of fee increases was shocking considering that the Obama administration promised earlier this year to hold off on any new fee Tricare fee increases until fiscal 2011.

Rep. Cao remains a ‘no’ vote on health-care proposal
By Jonathan Tilove
March 18, 2010, 7:35PM

WASHINGTON — Fulfilling a promise he made Wednesday to President Barack Obama, U.S. Rep. Anh “Joseph” Cao, R-New Orleans, took a second look at the abortion language in the Senate health care bill, but said tonight that he once again found it wanting.

Cao, the only Republican to vote for the health care bill last year, said he cannot do it again if the Senate language on abortion remains in the bill.

“Unless they change the abortion language in the Senate bill, I cannot, based on my conscience as a strong anti-abortion representative representing a district that is also strongly anti-abortion, I cannot support the Senate bill,” Cao said.

I think we needed to garner 2 more undecides and it was over, well I think we got the two. But I expect the 38 or so left Nancy mathematically has an impossible task. Now the games begin with it being mathematically impossible for a straight up or down vote, out comes the Slaughter scam. This is what Rush is talking on today, this whole,..will the Senate Bill pass straight up or down is a canard, that calculus was decided yesterday, the votes aren't there. Nancy has been lobbying to make sure the reconciliation package that is the wrapper around the Senate Billl has the votes. You guys see, they are scheming and some of us are watching this exposition game, the fake count. Might as well count hypothetical votes on a fantasy bill to give everyone a pound of government cheese.

He will be. It is HIGHLY unlikely that he’ll be re-elected. He’s in a VERY heavily Dem district (like 85%) in New Orleans, I think. He only won because of all the bad press of William Jefferson and the felonies of WJ, etc.

I don’t know why he’s even bothering to go see Obama unless he’s planning on changing his membership to D soon. Because he won’t be re-elected in the that district.

Cao won cause of what you say but also because most of the people who live there now were out of town because of Hurricane Katrina. but now these liberal/democrat cretins are back . new orleans is like detroit. try electing a Republican or Conservative or for any one that doesn’t vote for more government in those cities.

No matter how Cao votes, he will be soundly repudiated by Democrat voters in November 2010.

MSNBC is now running a crawl saying (I’m paraphrasing) that the vote may be delayed beyond Sunday if the Dems can’t nail down 216. This is the first time I’ve seen this, interesting, do you think Nancy is starting to cover her rear?
