Is the Republic dead? Not quite yet, but our current leaders aren't any Madison or Adams, that's for darn sure.
Headlines are anxious, ignorance abounds, the end seems inevitable. It's really easy to get depressed.
But help is on the way... today we'll quote the founders, toast our modern-day warriors, and spur each other on. Team therapy. Drinks optional.
(Please note... I do not even have a PhD in physiology.)

Cocktails and Compassion———sounds good to me-—and make it chocolate to really chill out.
Rum Truffle
Whiz in blender ½ oz dark rum, ¼ oz Creme de cocoa, ¼ oz Hazelnut liqueur, generous portion Haagen Dazs chocolate ice cream. Pour into brandy snifter. Top with whipped cream.
