Obamacare Grants IRS Perilous Power
Newsmax ^ | 18 Mar 2010 | David A. Patten

The Internal Revenue Service would gain sweeping new powers under President Obama's healthcare reform proposals, in what Republicans on the House Ways and Means Committee are calling a "dangerous expansion" of IRS powers.

That's according to a nine-page Republican report from the Committee on Ways and Means on Thursday. It's titled "The Wrong Prescription" Democrats' Health Overhaul Dangerously Expands IRS Authority."

Among the new powers the IRS would assume, the report says: The authority to confiscate tax refunds, to impose fines of over $2,200 per taxpayer, and to verify whether taxpayers' health insurance coverage is "acceptable."

One measure of the scope of the IRS' new responsibilities under the healthcare overhaul: The agency might have to hire as many as 16,500 additional auditors, agents, and other employees in order to administer the program, according to Rep. Dave Camp, R-Mich., the ranking Republican on the Ways and Means Committee.

Plant a SURVIVORS GARDEN

This is from a 2007 contact list of congressional aides. Some might not be there any longer, but worth a try. The ones on the one post are senate aides, a few have bounced back, it’s worth the effort to clog up their email system along with the phones, and 1/3rd of these senators are up for re-election.

Mail must be inspected for anthrax.

Contact congressional aides.

Good idea from the bloggers at Hillbuzz:

They offer specifics and links on how to put pressure on Dem DONORS, who have private numbers for legislators who may have taken their phones off the hook.

Remember they are all being offered BRIBES for their votes. Ask them how much their bribe price is.
The National Republican Congressional Committee has published a target list on health care. In addition to continuing to contact the five Tennessee Democrat Congressmen, you can go http://www.votervoice.net/link/clickthrough/ext/94697.aspx to contact some of these targets. Much of the talk following Obama’s announcement has focused on how to defeat this second bill through reconciliation, but that is misleading because the first step to defeating Obamacare is not by concentrating on defeating the “fixer” bill but by defeating the Senate bill in the House when it goes to the floor for an up-or-down vote on Thursday, March 18th.

Congressional Dems on Twitter
http://www.arrghpaine.com/congressional-dems-on-twitter

And here are toll-free numbers we can use to call any Senators or Reps.

At the first number below you must wait through a tape recording urging you to tell your Rep or Senator to vote “yes” for the health care bill. Just hang on and when the recording is over, you will get the Capitol operator. Just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Then you will either talk to an aid or have the chance to leave a message for him/her to vote NO on the health care bill.

When you use the second number and the Capitol operator comes on, just ask for your Rep or Senator’s office. Every time I use this number I get the Rep or Senator’s answer machine, so it may be set up that way all the time...to go to their answer machine. Either way you can leave a message to vote NO on the health care bill!

We need to use these toll free numbers that have been set up for the health care/ BO supporters and illegals to use! After all they are FREE!

So now we know why people put their money in a shoe box during the first great depression. It wasn’t just the banks, it was FDR. Remember gold in 1933?
0bama wants taxes to keep the his opposition down. He also needs inflation to be low and a low GDP will help him.

Some people do learn from history. FDR had an ‘undistributed profits tax’
People and businesses are preparing for whats to come by hoarding cash today. Capital flight and capital strike were also tools citizens used against FDR.

Today’s left promises wealth and happiness and justice and brotherhood. What they have always delivered is poverty and misery; injustice and death. It
will be no different this time around.

Every time I hear the left voicing their utopian aspirations and dreaming their totalitarian dreams, I think about all the victims that will suffer
from their selfless virtue. I can’t help remembering the words of Mal Reynolds in the movie Serenity, after discovering an entire planet’s population
has been wiped out as a result of the same kind of selfless utopian motivations:

“Somebody has to speak for these people….Sure as I know anything, I know this, they will try again. Maybe on another world, maybe on this very ground
swept clean. A year from now, they’ll swing back to the belief…that they can make people…better.
And I do not hold to that.”

Neither do I.

From old Weekly Standard article utopian dreams & nightmares

I suspect the obviously Leftist Media’s ownership is/are of Leftist persuasion, and are being quietly subsidized by International Socialist sources as are the thugs that are bussed to events to radicalize matters.

I’ve read enough in the past to believe there has to be some Leftist special interest source of funding for the MSM as the MSM, the Networks could provide palatable programming as they did once upon a time many years ago.

America is under assault...it’s war IMO.

The media, like all left orgs, are funded by our cash. Which is why we have to kick their balls up between their ears. I decided a long time ago I aint wasting my time riding out a socialist depression by hiding in gold and silver. I’m ready to fight those bastards out in the open. Tall and in person.

It is too late...This will pass because they need to get the funding mechanism in place to collect the taxes the second this is passed...

Never mind the feckless attempt to file lawsuits by the states...The Fed will ignore this, and we will still have the rest of our “wealth” re-distributed from the get go...

We had our chance...You can rally, yell and scream all you want...It is too late...

Sure, we’ll make some gains in the legislature, but it will be too little too late...
