U.S. Rep. Mark Schauer said today he plans to vote in favor of health-care reform.
The freshman Democratic Congressman had been undecided in the weeks leading up to the vote, but made his decision after the Congressional Budget Office released its estimates that the bill will reduce the deficit by $130 billion over 10 years.
I needed to see the bill and the Congressional Budget Office score, Schauer told the Citizen Patriot in an exclusive interview. The bill fundamentally does what I hoped it would.

Clever. A small wave of “yes” votes . . . . just in time for the evening news.
who are these MORONS????
is there no way to raise the Bid on what Marky Mark was given? Lets just outbid Nancy!
is this POS running for reelction?
We need his phone numbers , even if all we can do is left respectful messages
he needs to think every voter will vote against him.
Bastard. Just looking for some cover for his naked, purchased ass!
2 new yes vote articles here in just a few minutes. Is it all over?
From now on refer to Schauer as Progressive Democrat Mak Schauer. Let’s make sure the voters understand he is not the least bit conservative by voting for this and has instead joined the Progressive Socialist movement headed by Pelosi.
It was going to pass anyway, anyone who thought otherwise was just being naive. Now we just have to hope that Mark Levin and others take this to the Supreme Court and this bill cannot be enacted
“The bill fundamentally does what I hoped it would.”
These people are nuts. How can any so called sentient creature believe that we will get more, better, and cheaper medical?
Two former yes now no votes today as well.
How much did he get?
Welcome to early retirement Mark.
Please ... not "Progressive"
Call them "Communist Democrat" John Doe.
All of them.
Communist Democrat Nancy Pelosi.
Communist Democrat Mark Schauer.
Communist Democrat Steny Hoyer.
etc.
Marky says yes. We say yes to his opponent.
Was he a yes or no vote before?

Positive thinking, people! They’re NOT going to announce those who previously voted yes who are now no votes. I believe Paul Ryan stated they’re 10 votes short, give or take a couple. Bottom line is, it doesn’t matter what any of these wishy-washy Congressman say.. It all comes down to what button they push during the vote.
Schauer was a yes vote the first time as well. He’s a yesman who does whatever his overload says. Yes Master!
That is exactly the strategy they are using here. They want you to think this way. Hey, you may be right, but just because Pelosi's trotting out her votes doesn't mean she has enough. In fact, it suggests she's unsure of her hand.
I've said it before, they will go all in without all the votes assured. They are hoping they can bluff enough to get 216.
Keep calling! Keep faxing! If they flipped, let them have it. If they haven't, let them have it more.
This will be the payoff:
Schauer introduces jobless extension
The (Battle Creek, Michigan) Enquirer March 18, 2010
U.S. Rep. Mark Schauer, D-Bedford Township, today
introduced a bill to extend unemployment benefits
through the end of the September.
A jobs bill passed by the Senate on Wednesday did
not include a benefits extension, but a larger bill
approved by the House in December did.
If Congress doesn’t extend jobless benefits by
Sunday, approximately 130,000 people in Michigan
will exhaust their benefits in March and another
150,000 will lose benefits in April, according to a
release from Schauer’s office.
