trust me, you DO NOT WANT an undercover fed as your Facebook friend. How do we know you're not a Fed?
Fact is, sites like Facebook are for kiddies and strangos.

I am going to have to post some photos of me with guns.
I have a facebook friend who will be in big trouble. He has a profile picture of him with a fishing rod.

There was a story last year detailing how various state revenue departments were using Facebook to track down tax deliquents.
Why anyone would want to post their entire life for the world to see is beyond me - what good can come from it?

This should come as no surprise as Facebook has been noted in the past to work as a great tool for the intelligence communities to track the population.

I would be disappointed if they weren’t doing it. If some idiot criminal is going to post incriminating evidence online, then it would be negligent for the law enforcement to pretend it did not happen.

I’m not sure if this is correct, but a friend of mine said Facebook will not let you log in if they detect you are using a proxy. Now why would they care unless they are tracking your IP address?

I’m sorry, but if you’re dumb enough to commit a crime, and then blab about it on Facebook, you deserve everything you get, and should consider yourself lucky that you didn’t get everything you deserved.

I think this is very wise, actually. People go on Facebook etc. voluntarily and put out their information in public. Why should law enforcement ignore it?
