It's absolute nonsense to think agreeing with government actions that are plainly wrong and contrary to the founding principles of the country are suddenly hunky-dory because your great granddaddy and his generation had to endure the same thing. That's just fabulous thinking

The issue is not the census.
The issue is this government.

Yes I was wondering about the fact if you don’t cross out darkly the questions you don’t answer anyone can fill them in.
Then dont fill one out. They will get the info from the person next door.
These censuses are nothing new. I dont see why some of you are making a big deal out of them. This is why people dont take valid things that are wrong with this country.
There has to be something wrong with thinking the word endure should even be in a conversation about a simple census.
They will get you counted, one way or another. So fill it out with your own truthful information, rather than have someone guess at it.
Your hobbies are none of my concern. Anything beyond how many people are in my house, their ages and possibly their ethnicity is none of the Government's concern.

Thirty years ago when I got my census form for 1980, I noticed the trash can at the post office full of discarded census forms.
I filled out my census form last week. So simple! they only wanted to know my name, age, race and that was all. Nothing at all inquisitive into my life.
We got 3 letters telling us to be on the lookout for the census.
Last week I came home to find a very high quality plastic bag with U.S. Census printed in 2 colors containing 2 census packets in it hanging on the fence.
Each census packet contained an instruction sheet printed in 2 colors and 2 languages, the 10 page census form also printed in 2 colors and 2 languages and a postage paid envelope.
All that’s required is how many people live at this address on 1 form.
What a waste of tax payer money.

IF they send a person out here rurally to talk to me, they will encounter a locked gate and my shotgun. Period.
If they insist on knowing how many bathroms I have, they can go to the county and look up the building records. Period.
I don’t think people are looking at the census as right or wrong....rather the staus of our gov. NOT governing according to the will of the people, actually opposing the clear will of the people, taking far far too much from the people, for the gov. to ask anyone for personal information of anykind flies in the face of their personal rights. it’s away of saying NO MORE!

LOL I dont think they are doing a bathroom count. Your tax accessor does that and if you dont let THEM in, they judge by the size of your windows.
This entire thing is getting a little ridiculous. If people dont want to fill out the census form..then dont. They will get your info elsewhere.
I am done with this thread. They are much bigger problems today, than filling out a census form.
