Top White House adviser David Axelrod says that if Congress passes the Democrats' national health care bill, it will be politically impossible for Republicans to undo the changes brought by the massive legislation. "I say, Let's have that fight. Make my day," Axelrod said on "Meet the Press." "I'm ready to have that, and every member of Congress ought to be willing to have that debate was well."
Axelrod made the point as he put forward the now-common argument that House Democrats who have already voted for the health care bill once should do so again because they will be attacked by Republican opponents this fall whatever they do.

Go ahead Axelgrease make our day!! The next office you occupy is going to be a 8x8 cell at Ft. Leavenworth.
Don’t worry Davey boy. We the People intend to “make your day” in November.
The Dums first said, just vote for it so we can discuss the bill.
Surprise, no discussion, now it’s vote for the Bill or else.
WHY would ANYONE want to be a member of a Party full of Fascist Leaders?
It may be hard to change politically but if they keep this crap up things are likely to move past politics!
Yeah sure, Axelrod... you are such a f’n dumbass. When people’s taxes shoot up, fines are imposed and no benefits are being administered for four or more years, you’ll see how easy it will be to repeal this piece of crap.
That fight might have more physical penalties than you might want, Axel- Obamahole.
We’ll see who’s day it’ll make.
Mark Steyn did a brilliant job of explaining why Obama and the Dems are willing to go “kamikaze” (IE: to die politically, but only temporarily they are betting) for this abomination called ObamaCare.
Because passing it means ever-lasting power (at least for the rest of our lifetime and our childrens’ childrens’ lifetimes) for the left in America.
Like herpes, once weve got Obamacare, well never get rid of it.
This is a Mark Steyn must read!

IIRC thery inserted a provision in one of the bills that says it needs 67 votes to overturn. IMHO that will be struck down by the SCOTUSA because to reengineer Senate rules you need a vote of 67 not 60 as it was passed with. All I can guess is that they want a washout in November and want every seat up for reelection to go republican.Unless of course they believe their pollsters who seem to be in direct conflict to every other poll out there?
Scene from 2020:
“Grampa, who were the Democrats?”
"Do you save the President, or do you save "the People's" liberty?"
"Found in: John Adams, The Works of John Adams, vol. 4 (Novanglus, Thoughts on Government, Defence of the Constitution) - NO. III. - paragraph 144
"Obsta principiis (translation: resist the beginnings), nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers, and destroyers press upon them so fast, that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon the American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour. The revenue creates pensioners, and the pensioners urge for more revenue. The people grow less steady, spirited, and virtuous, the seekers more numerous and more corrupt, and every day increases the circles of their dependents and expectants, until virtue, integrity, public spirit, simplicity, and frugality, become the objects of ridicule and scorn, and vanity, luxury, foppery, selfishness, meanness, and downright venality swallow up the whole society."
John Adams words castigate the "arbitrary power" holders in Washington today who have gained their offices by promises to "redistribute" the earnings of hard-working citizens, thereby encouraging dependency among the citizenry, and a certain path to tyranny by those who hold the reins of power in government.
A mudhole named Axelrod...Chicago thuggery does not work and has not worked against the majority of American people who simply disdain ObamaCare in its current form and your continued backdoor Chicago-style dealings and bribes. How’s that for starters, Axelnut? “Make my day”....who the frak you think you are, Clint Eastwoood? LULZ! We coming for you in Novemeber and in 2012, Axelnut. Bet.
Separated at Birth?
They can refuse to fund it can’t they? And any bill passed by reconciliation can be undone the same way.
In order to get a super majority provision, you need a super majority to pass it.
“the Dems are willing to go kamikaze (IE: to die politically, but only temporarily they are betting) for this abomination called ObamaCare.”
That is their worst case scenario that is cast in their sick deluded minds. That is only the best thing they can hope for as “We the People” are going to hand out a much more harsh set of penalties that they would never even think could happen to them.
Democrats think all they have to do is lie to get elected and then votes is Washington is all that's required. So did the Democrats in 1994 when they passed the Assault Weapons ban, which in essence made citizens owning militia rifles illegal.
The really big show for the tyranny of the majority Democrats was the Kansas-Nebraska Act of 1854, which in essence legalized slavery, and started the Civil War.
I wonder, how many of the blacks who vote lock step with Democrats know about that little piece of history. Or is the lure of the freebie so strong, it clouds their judgment.
