The Department of Education has issued a solicitation for...well, here, I'll let them tell you:
The U.S. Department of Education (ED) intends to purchase twenty-seven (27) REMINGTON BRAND MODEL 870 POLICE 12/14P MOD GRWC XS4 KXCS SF. RAMAC #24587 GAUGE: 12 BARREL: 14" - PARKERIZED CHOKE: MODIFIED SIGHTS: GHOST RING REAR WILSON COMBAT; FRONT - XS CONTOUR BEAD SIGHT STOCK: KNOXX REDUCE RECOIL ADJUSTABLE STOCK FORE-END: SPEEDFEED SPORT-SOLID - 14" LOP are designated as the only shotguns authorized for ED based on compatibility with ED existing shotgun inventory, certified armor and combat training and protocol, maintenance, and parts.
A 14" barrel is something denied to We the People. Unless our registration is approved and we pay a tax...
NFA '34 said so. And why?
The $200 making and transfer taxes on most NFA firearms were considered quite severe and adequate to carry out Congress purpose to discourage or eliminate transactions in these firearms.
The Miller ruling upheld it. Even though the "reasoning" was wrong.
And let's not forget the accusation of shortening barrels illegally was the catalyst for the government killing Randy Weaver's wife and son.
They really don't want us having these. But they want them for themselves. Why?
I join my colleague Seattle Gun Rights Examiner Dave Workman in asking "Why does Department of Education need 12-gauge shotguns?" Except I would insert "the hell" between "Why" and "does."
Per Workman's article:
A spokesperson for the Department of Education says the guns are for use by officers with the agencys Office of Inspector General. They have full federal law enforcement authority, and the IGs office investigates waste, fraud, abuse, and other criminal activity involving Federal education funds, programs, and operations.
And why do they have "full federal law enforcement authority"?
(Excerpt) Read more at examiner.com ...
I can’t wait to hear where they derive their criminal enforcement powers.
They just used paddles when I was in school.
It’s probably just a test. To see if they should be procured for the black panthers and nation of islam..
Maybe they are looking for another way to get rid of "underperforming" teachers?
How much you want to bet after a couple of years these things go “Missing”?
The Gov cant even keep track of lap top computers.
Too bad they don’t arm the parents, paying for the educational crap sandwich they’re serving!
Maybe they think their support for abortion isn’t working quickly enough. The school safety Czar is attributed with saying they really don’t become children for several years.
Packin' heat at the crosswalks...?
es and the AOW fee is probably less than the $200 quoted in the article.
I thought firearms weren’t allowed on school property.
keep following the links. apparently it was derived on the republican party’s watch.
marktwain thanks so much for posting this. this story is worth following.
I see our political problems as stemming directly from the takeover of the MSM by Progressives starting about 80 years ago. The new media is giving us an opportunity to reverse that process, if we have enough gumption to seize the opportunity.
I don’t see the problem. Such guns are only for “criminals and terrorists” according to our superiors. And one applies perfectly to the DOE. Not sure which, though.
Who says the Obama administration isn’t gun-friendly? All sorts of its agents are arming themselves (at our expense).
Um, no.
Actually, it’s been about 109 years of Progressivism running the country since Teddy Roosevelt became president.
This future article notes the use of a 10 Gauge shotgun, why buy twice? Get with the program!
“It was then that Diana Moon Glampers, the Handicapper General, came into the studio with a double-barreled ten-gauge shotgun. She fired twice, and the Emperor and the Empress were dead before they hit the floor.”
Read it all here...Very good read! (not too long)
