SALT LAKE CITY Mitt Romney brought his book tour Saturday back to the city where he led the 2002 Winter Olympics, telling an enthusiastic audience he could decide by Christmas whether to run again for president.
"That's not a decision we've made at this point," Romney told a 12-year-old boy from Bluffdale who said he was "asking a question that a lot of people are wondering and that's, 'Are you going to run for president?' "
The cheers the question received were among the loudest during Romney's hour-long appearance at the Salt Palace as part of his national tour for his latest book, "No Apology: The Case for American Greatness."
Romney said that, like the last time he made a bid for the GOP nomination for president, he and his family will gather to discuss the pros and cons of another campaign, possibly at Christmas or over New Year's.
He said his 2008 run for the White House was fun, especially because of the people who "give their heart and soul for you even when they know you're going to lose."
"There will be somebody who runs in the Republican Party," Romney told an estimated 4,000 people gathered in the Grand Ballroom. "I can tell you I'll either be that person, or I'll be working my tail off for that person, and I want you to, as well, because we've got to take back America."

A few years ago at CPAC I was sitting ten feet in front of Romney when he was giving his speech.
All I could think while he was talking is, this guy is a phony. Of course, most Politicians come across the same way and Mitt gives a good speech. Earnest didn't come to mind.
I then saw President Bush at the same event. All I could think is, this guy is genuine. He wasn't polished, but you knew he says what he means and means what he says.

Nor will we win the election with a Liberal Republican Chameleon like Romney!
The GOP had BETTER wake up! We don't want no stinkin’ Romney, Shmuckabee, McPlain, Giuliani, Socialist/Populist losers to even be on the roster!

4,000 people in Utah, this is huge.
It may be Utah, and they may be Mormons, but this is still more than he attracts when he is raising funds for abortion at Planned Parenthood fund raisers.

They just want to make sure the GOP nominates the most damaged (and left-wing) candidate imaginable (so just in case if they actually do win, they’ll enact policies most detrimental to Conservatism and the GOP). It’s why the media loves Slick Willard and loathes Sarah Palin.

So what you're saying is that once Utah has it's own President, he's a shoe in.

Ok, ok.
I said last week that I was 99% sure Mitt Romney will run in 2012.
Make it 99.5% sure. I have never seen anyone so clearly be running for president, with 3 years to go to the elections, like this guy. He is not taking any chances this time at all.
To: driftdiver
Maybe.
But the masses are gonna have plenty to say about that.
To: Recon Dad
I think that is as good a measure of it as there is, yes.

I don’t know why anyone feels the need to urinate on someone, but it looks like the press is trying to pick our candidate for us again. This crap is getting old, and Romney is the worst RINO we can have.

They are making it seem “inevitable”. The republicans allow and seem to encourage this to happen over and over.
