Following a two-week absence, the Fort Hood attorney was back at it Friday despite a gag order, blogging on the perceived injustices suffered by his defense team in defending Major Nidal Hasan, the man charged in the shooting deaths of 13 people.
Galligan was put under partial gag order, but is adamant that his public comments don’t violate any ethical or legal rules.
In the latest post, he argues that his client was denied a “mitigation expert” — a key part of defending someone charged with a capital crime. Galligan explained that in order to push for the death penalty, prosecutors will have to prove there were “aggravating factors” in the crime – and that it is standard for the defense to present their “mitigating factors” (for example, mental deficiency). Galligan claimed the denial was unprecedented, and prejudiced.
“This is standard operating procedure in any other case, and the only reason I can see for this treatment is because my client is a Muslim,”

I wish the judge would give the lawyer about 90 days to consider the meaning of contempt of court.
Exactly how does a “mitigation expert” explain away a terrorist’s mass murders? The death penalty takes years, even in Texas, and that’s long enough to milk this evil anti-American Obama voter for all the useful information he may possess - and then send him to his “72 Virgins”.
Since they can’t use Sudden Jihad Syndrome as a defense (this wasn’t terrorism The Won has commanded on high) and the insanity defense usually never works - the defense is left with only one tactic to save Hassan’s life; ineffective council.
This guy is a retired JAG Colonel. He knows full well that there is a Judge in a military court martial, whose role is to rule on matters of law such as this. He knows it, but he deliberately lies in a public forum as an appeal to the America and military hating left who either don't know or don't care how Courts Martial operate. He is not trying to defend his client, he is trying to turn the Court Martial into a circus in order to aid and abet the enemy. He an Hasan should get adjoining cells.
I personally pray that he repents (Tchuva and Tikkun), and turns toward the G-d of Abraham, Issac and Jacob. If he fails to do so, then let Ha Shem sort him out. That is true justice.
He should be sent to Galligan’s Island on the SS Minnow. And no Mary Ann.
He’s probably hoping to have the conviction overturned based on an incompetent defense attorney.

Maybe the lawyer perceives his greater risk is from Hasan lovers who might perceive his lawyer as their enemy, thereby targeting him in the future.
His best strategy might be to remain as vocal and as obviously absurd as possible, all in a proactive assertive position for Islam.
I guess they are necessary and I don't know why but I have never liked those guys, at least the ones I have read about. I understand Lindsey Graham was one so maybe that contributes to my thoughts.
