When Glenn Beck, Charles Krauthammer and Bill Kristol each from their respective Fox News perches branded Dutch political phenom Geert Wilders as beyond the political pale, it was shocking and outrageously so, and for several reasons. One. Ive grown used to Fox News and all other media ignoring not just the Wilders story but also the cultural story of the century, altogether namely, the Islamization of Europe, something Wilders, a great admirer of Ronald Reagan and a committed supporter Israel, is dedicated to ...(cont'd @ http://www.dianawest.net/Home/tabid/36/EntryId/1314/Foxs-

And stupid Americans will say who cares, we can watch all the cute young chicks, (as they're fed propaganda and don't even know it.)
The state of our country must be so painful to the remaining Veterans of WWII. They must wonder why, after they fought a world war on two and three fronts, and conquered the enemies, unconditionally, we can't today rise up and drive the Islamofascists into oblivion.
Silly. Just silly.
Why should they? Aren't they doing enough?
Being Jewish, I would find such episodes uninformative. We, Christians and Jews, have enough that unites us in the fight for our country against the Leftists and Islamists, don't you think?
Wilders is twice the man as any of them
Think what you wish. I say that because it’s a propaganda natural for an enemy, when the infidel country allows Islamofascists to walk all over us. I quit watching FOX and all TV 3 yrs ago and rely on the ‘net for news & inside stories; there have been threads on this in the last 2 wks or so and from what I gather, the tone of FOX has changed—and that is why Geert Wilders was put down by Kraut, Kristol and Beck. Killings by Muslims, anywhere, are being downplayed.
It was a Dutchman who saved the people aboard the plane at Christmas. Geert Wilders is Dutch of course. Appears the Dutch grow more than tulips!
threelips?
Krauthamer and Kristol have always been Liberals....they both pushed Illegal Alien Amnesty in 2007....so no surprise that they support Islamic Terrorism and Hatred over Geert Wilders.
Beck is no surprise either...he now supports Global Warming....and actually supported Wilders in the past. Now, Beck is on the side of Islamic Terrorist and their Hatred
YOU 9/12ers......YOU REALLY NEED TO GET A CLUE ABOUT BECK.....do you support Global Warming....bashing people who expose Muslim hatred....bashing those who want to know the truth about Obama’s eligibility......9/12ers...WHICH SIDE ARE YOU ON?????
Good point, however Mudock is a businessman. He knows where his bread is buttered.
I’m surprised the other networks don’t realize that their ratings and revenue would skyrocket if they adopted this approach.
People, whether they think about it or not, are always seeking the truth. It’s a matter of human nature.
Murdoch can kiss FNC and its pro-Islamic Terrorist slant goodbye with this person. Murdoch is just another liberal who is about ready to be exposed.....just wait until his son, James.....Al Gore’s friend.....takes over when Daddy leaves
Appeasing Islamic Terror by slamming Wilders is nothing short of treason. I will now make it a point that everytime Krauthammer, Kristol, and Beck are mentioned.....I will mention they support ISLAMIC TERROR. Treason will draw no quarter with me
Beck is no surprise either...he now supports Global WarmingOh brother! You're so full of shit your eyes are probably brown.
Maybe it’s time for conservatives to start a REAL news channel.
Beck is a Mormon...
No such thing as an unsaved Christian. A Christian in the true sense of the word IS saved. Also, Beck is no Christian, he’s a Mormon. Big difference.
Why would you consider Wilders to be an extremist like Stalin or Hitler? I think that’s an entirely unjustified stance.
Here is part of his party’s official position statement:
“The Party for Freedom combines economic liberalism* with a conservative programme towards immigration and culture. The party seeks tax cuts (16 billion in the 2006 election programme), de-centralization, abolishment of the minimum wage, limiting of child benefits and government subsidies. Towards immigration and culture, the party believes that the Judeo-Christian and humanist traditions should be treated as the dominant culture in the Netherlands, and that immigrants should adapt accordingly. The party wants a halt to immigration from non-western countries. It is skeptical towards the EU project, is against future EU enlargement with countries like Turkey and opposes the presence of Islam in the Netherlands. The party is also opposed to dual citizenship.”
Does this sound fascist to you? Wilders seems to me to be the sort of politician that the average American conservative could easily support. His rhetoric is more politically incorrect than Americans are used to, but I think that only the supposedly “conservative” elites and mouthpieces care about abiding by the rules of political correctness.
*Liberalism here, of course, means classical liberalism, i.e., laissez-faire capitalism.
The validity of that stance, to my mind, hinges upon how the immigrants are expected to "adapt accordingly." If the party platform simply proposes that government not provide any means of pandering to foreign religions and cultures, that's fine in my book. On the other hand, if it means using the power of government to force assimilation into a particular set of traditions and/or religion, that's "fascist," in the way the term is generally used here.
Incidentally, I think you misunderstand my earlier point, and having taken a second look at what I wrote, I can understand why: it was not a good analogy. I was trying to bring forth the observation that while some of Wilders's viewpoints might very well be valid and favorable from a short-term conservative perspective, the totality of what he believes, or the reasons why he believes it, might make him, in the long-run, quite an unsavory character, unworthy of the kind of adulation he receives from some of us. Think of former Congressman Massa in that regard.
One of the reasons the Fox pundits are tiptoeing so gently around the Muslim issue is that Fox News is partly owned by Muslims:
From Wikipedia:
Fox News Channel (FNC), commonly referred to as Fox or Fox News, is a cable and satellite news channel owned by the Fox Entertainment Group, a subsidiary of News Corporation.
Prince Alwaleed bin Talal al-Saud* of Saudi Arabia, through his Kingdom Holding Company, owns 7% of News Corp.'s shares, making Kingdom Holdings the second largest shareholder.
* a member of the Saudi Royal Family
That would be something. I don’t expect it to happen, but it would be great!
They say that it’s not Muslim’s it’s a very small group who are the problems, most are peace loving just like everyone else, etc.
It is always amazing to me when anyone makes statements like you just made about someone based on a few internet postings. I have listened to Rush since about the time Clinton came into office. I watched his TV show. I don’t listen as much as I did now because he’s on in the middle of the day, so I generally only catch him when I’m in the car (altho I bought my son a subscription, so he often catches me up on things Rush says). Now, as if I needed to justify myself to you, there you have it.
Lots of people consider themselves Christians, but they are not saved. If you disagree with that statement, then explain yourself, but don’t just give some sort of flip *noise* as if I’m totally stupid and you are a genius.
I have not heard Rush say he is saved, and hence, my pleasant surprise. I have no idea why you thought picking a fight with me was appropriate, but, stop assuming other people are stupid. It reflects badly on you. You’re welcome.
