Don Imus, for one, is not surprised by Tom Hanks' recent comments calling WWII and the War on Terrorism racist crusades undertaken by the United States.
First brought to his attention by "Imus in the Morning" producer Bernard McGuirk on the show, the remarks were news to the host - just not shocking news.
"Oh darn, what a surprise. We have another panty-wearing liberal dickweed from Hollywood - of course!" Imus told McGuirk.

Tom Hanks thinks so evidently. We need another McCarthy.

Ever since the “telethon” immediately following 9-11 and Hanks recited the “Pledge of Allegiance” without say “Under God”, I’ve had no use for that liberal, panty wearing, dickweed!

A few nights ago I saw that ``Forrest Gump'' was on one of the cable channels. Although I saw the movie when it came out in the 90's, I refused to watch it this time. Tom Hanks is a disgrace and I'm one of those that simply can't draw a wall between the art and the artisan.
For those that follow such things, was Hanks always such a bad man? He may have been left-leaning when ``Gump'' came out but as for this very vocal, over-the-top hatred of America, is that a recent stance he's adopted?

So of course when we defeated the Japanese we took over their country and made it an extension of America. Of course we did.

Why are people so surprised that Hanks is a slimy liberal? Because of "Saving Private Ryan?"
Remember...the Russian commies hated the Nazis just like the Hollyweird commies do...

We have another panty-wearing liberal dickweed from Hollywood The Hollywood crowd is creating financial suicide IMHO. Many of us don't rent, let alone theatre view movies these political activist Hollywood are attached to. Reese Witherspoon, Ashley Judd and all the rest of them will never see a nickle of my hard earned money (and viewing them for free equates to "don't I have better things to do?)

Hanks, a good actor but knows nothing about life, Hanks himself is racist because he won’t turn down any roles and give it to a black man

Hanks is a Hollywood liberal and at times struggles to say coherent things about world affairs. But I will say this for him, he co-produced Band of Brothers and now The Pacific and has done a lot to honor our troops.

``bad man'' just fails to capture my intent in my post.

While in the Air Force I spent time in South Korea. I met several people who were alive during WWII and suffered under the Japanese occupation. Brutal is an understatement.

I loved Reese Witherspoon in “While You Were Sleeping”. I just hate it when they act like liberal retards. (Can I say that?)

Is it honoring or is it a snarky way of pushing an agenda like the overrated “The Hurt Locker”?

Yes, Hanks can act. But, how hard can it be to do what you are told by the director?

I’m looking forward to The Pacific. Just have to find a place to watch it. Band of Brothers is my all time favorite mini-series.
