Delegates Say They Want to Send a Strong Message to White House
RICHMOND, Va. - Virginia's General Assembly is the first in the nation to approve legislation that bucks any attempt by President Barack Obama and Congress to implement the national health care overhaul in states like Virginia...
Please keep this bumped today?
The states are moving on this pretty quickly. At least ten states are also enacting gun laws which are intended to trump federal law, (tenth amendment,) whereby guns and ammunition manufactured within the state are exempt from tenth amandment regulations. Montana has already passed such a law.
The states are rising up as the people rise up. Pressure is on.
Hopefully, more states will follow.
Yet our goofy Senators continue to support it. It will be a great day when we vote them out of office.
This is called nullification. Done before and very very effective. Mass used it in 1988 for something-I dont remember what but it puts the crimps on anything the gubermunt thinks it can cram down the states throat.
Forgive me for not getting here earlier. So much to do, so little time. Working on PA bigtime. We WANT this. We want BOTH, actually. Even tho PA is right to carry state. These things go hand in hand. You cannot trade off your freedom.
“Ill maybe moving there if...”
It’s a good place to live.
The health care bill is already dead. Virginny did it. If one state nullifies it then its done. But, if a few more do it then that would really send the Nazis to the woodshed.
“Isn;t VA overrun with DemCritters?”
Naaah. It’s still pretty much a red state with the exception of the People’s Republic of Northern Virginia. There is a difference between your average Virginia Democrat (from outside the PRNV) and one hailing from hailing from Cali or the northeastern wastelands. In actuality, many of our Democrats are about as conservative as the average yankee Republican.
The more, the better. There can’t BE too many voices raised against this monstrosity.
BTW:
The RINO FREE PROJECT at the top of the page?
Much of that is the Crew and me. Come visit.
Or in crossword puzzle lingo...two down and “55” across (across the nation that is). Sounds like a bumper sticker.
That’s encouraging news, TY CRZ
HOUSE BILL No.2053
Session of 2009
HOUSE BILL No.2179
Session of 2009
And so much for the bam “57.”
Now if we could just get our Senators some of the congress critters to pull their heads out of their Obummers
Best news ever ! Thank you for the ping.
yep. Started this early. Crap just keeps on coming. We want the Montana gun law.
You are so right ! All the lib critters are in N VA close to dc the rest of us in the state are Normal US Citizens ;)
It seems like mandatory health insurance is like taxing you for simply existing.
