Delegates Say They Want to Send a Strong Message to White House
RICHMOND, Va. - Virginia's General Assembly is the first in the nation to approve legislation that bucks any attempt by President Barack Obama and Congress to implement the national health care overhaul in states like Virginia...
I really would hate to see them pass any of this HCR junk into law (although many pieces of it have been slipped into other bills) but I’m glad they have taken it right up to the precipice. The Dems have outed themselves as far-left, corrupt as can be and as thugs who don’t care what the people want. For a silver lining in a very dark cloud that’s not bad.

The latest CBO report details Obama’s 10 year tax scheme - Punish Americans with new taxes for the first four years with no healthcare benefits and cuts in Medicare to Seniors.

Lawmakers in an additional four statesMontana, North Carolina, Rhode Island, and Utahhave publicly announced their intentions to file the legislation. A citizen-led initiative has also been announced in Colorado.
Damn, I think I hit that list of states dead on!
First, rights don't derive from the Constitution. Second, I didn't say anywhere that the gubmint should mandate/delegate (sic) anything related to healthcare.
I said I believe people have a right to purchase health care. I can't think of any basis for prohibiting someone from purchasing health care.
Do we not have a right to buy food? Shelter? I would think our natural right to life and liberty, which predates the Constitution and transcends government, includes the right to purchase food, shelter, clothing, health care, and many other things as well.
We don't have a right to force others to pay for those things for us. But we have a right to buy them.
You really need to learn what a ‘right’ is.
I’m well aware of what a right is. You don’t think you have the natural right to purchase health care for yourself?
You are adding emotives to the life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. A huge ideological leap, and very similar to the leftist who cried in 2008 they had a ‘right’ to cheap gas.
