From the link in the story:

Russia regards the Mistral as offering vital offensive capacity because the country lacks the ability to launch amphibious assaults. A single Mistral can deploy 16 helicopters, four landing barges and up to 70 armoured vehicles, including 13 battle tanks, and 450 troops.

” This comes after Russia’s failure in August 2008 to oust the democratically elected government by means of an invasion.”

Sorry, but Georgia initiated that little skirmish.

Obama is certainly bungling Russia, just like everything else he touches, but Russia has been bungled since the collapse of the Soviet Union.

We had an opportunity for Russia to be a super ally but the bungling idiots in D.C. totally screwed the chance Reagan handed us. Probably the most costly screw-up in the history of the world...with the exception of Zero in the White House.

Appeasement is the language 0baMao speaks. Unless he’s talking to Americans and then it’s “I won.”

These are the consequences of electing as president a “Rock Star” whose sole executive credentials is watching 100 hours of “The West Wing.”

Will France join Russia in seeking to repel American vessels that might sail into the Black Sea in support of the Georgian democracy?”

LOL

Anyone who thinks zer0 would lift a finger to defend Georgia is delusional.

I said before the election that Putin would absolutely gut this guy and it didn’t take 6 months. Vlad has to feel like a kid in a candy store concerning the ME and Eastern Europe.
