Hey Abdul, got any spare uranium?
OOOHHHHHUUUUAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!
You and the Diceman are truly an inspiration:
"Poor effin' 0bama, went to the cupboard,
To get his Master and Owner a bone,
When he bent over,
SOROS took over,
And gave 0bama a bone of his own!"
And he LIKED it!!!
OOOHHHHHUUUUAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!
"Jack and Jill, went up the hill,
Each had a buck and a quarter,
When they came down, they had NOTHIN!
0bama, Reid and Pelosi robbed n' RAPED' em!!!"
The foul b@$stards!
OOOHHHHHUUUUAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!
"Hickory, Dickory Doc,
America's watchin' the clock,
The time is now past,
To fire 0bama's ASS!
Hickory, Dickory Doc!
OOOHHHHHUUUUAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!
"When Mary had a little lamb,
The doctors were surprised,
Because under 0bama's health care,
The fuzzy little freak shoulda been
ABORTED!
OOOHHHHHUUUUAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!
"Little Boy Blew...
HEY! Rahm Emanuel needed the money!"
OOOHHHHHUUUUAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!

You two are clueless about the procedures and processes needed to get a clearance to go into an American nuclear power plant. The background check is done by a contractor working for the utility, it is not brought in. The process is a condition of the license granted by the NRC and is rigorously audited. The background check I went through included running finger prints with the national database as well as phone calls to associates. Next there is “fitness for duty” which includes provisions not only for drugs and alcohol, but also aberrant behavior. After all of that, knowing what equipment is important is one thing — being able to get to it while the plant operates is quite another. Each room is key-card locked. There are several hundred armed guards at each nuclear plant. Furthermore, the double and triple redundancy of structures, systems, and components in a nuclear plant makes it invulnerable to disabling one piece of equipment, or even one train of equipment. Most temporary maintenance contractors are called in during outages — while the plant is off-line and the reactor is being refueled.

... armed assault and bomb attack on a nuke plant.
The primary system in a PWR operates at over 2000 psig (a BWR around 1000 psig), the reactor system and those downstream are robust enough to convert energy for a million customers -- what exactly size bomb do you think is necessary to cause damage to that equipment? Besides the inconvenient location between the bomber and the reactor system of a concrete shield building that is three-feet thick re-bar concrete in most locations inside of which is a free standing tank/building made of thick steel plate. The penetrations through the building are at least double isolation capable, and sometimes triple. You can know a plant, but the force you would need to apply in order to cause problems with the core is inpractibably large. The system is automated and engineered to first and foremost contain the fuel with redundant systems and defense in-depth processes. Even taking an operator at gun point it would not be possible to cause a significant release. The studies we have to do to get a license are hypothetical to validate the design of various systems. Taken together, the structures, systems and components within a nuclear plant will not allow your nightmare scenario.

When I worked in nukes, the guards were there to keep you inside if there was a scram. Hope theyve smartened a tad in the last couple decades.
You have never worked in or near a nuclear plant in your lifetime. "Scram" is a term used a BWR to describe the sudden insertion of all of the control blades into the core to shutdown the chain reaction. Those control blades are routinely moved in and out of the core as the plant power level changes. A "scram" is when the reactor protection system (electronics) determines one or more of the measured characteristics of the core is out of spec. Guards do not play a role in the procedures used in scram recovery. Note that due to the way the nuclear plant is constructed (e.g., using enough concrete for over 50 miles of four lane Interstate Highway), some of the safest places on earth are inside the various control and meeting rooms of an American commercial nuclear power plant -- tornado, wind, flood, and earthquake resistant -- licensed against hypothetical conditions that can never actually occur.

Terror suspect worked at nuke plants I'm shocked.
Were all the jihad jobs at the FBI, baggage handlers, taxi drivers, and parking lot attendants filled?

I blame the loony left for this insanity, and what about McCain/Grahamnesty? What has their position been on profiling?

And?
While I don’t doubt what you say is true, it didn’t keep this guy out of the system.

And what then was the basis of your alarmist anti-nuclear tinged posting? What exactly are you worried about? The depth of background checking and the associated record keeping makes it possible to find out who was on-site years ago. Take your anti-nuclear screed over to a more appreciative group a the Daily Kos.

And I guess you are clueless about the ease of which a false identity can be obtained. My comment had nothing regarding ‘what’ ‘if’ anything the guy could do once he was in there.

Take a valium, there’s nothing anti-nuclear involved. It’s anti-PC, not anti-nuclear. You’re waaaaaay too sensitive.
I’m all for building more nukes. Lots more.

It’s as if we continued to let Nazis enter the U.S. after December 1941. Or committed Communists during the Cold War.
Until we have a really fresh look at the ideological drivers of this conflict, we are screwed.

They will go whichever way the deranged Left wants them to. Blame Pres. Bush for this explosive (!) state of affairs. He kowtowed to these 7th-century pieces of human offal after 9-11 all those years and set the stage for a Marxist-Muslim with a hidden background and no love for our country! His secretary of Transportation could hardly have been worse, firmly and scornfully insisting on NO Profiling even after the atrocity of 9-11. The man should have been fired immediately. Geo Bush allowed illegal entry into the US including ME people for the sake of “diversity”. He was either a conscious collaborator or just a hapless, damned fool.

Oh my gosh, an American who can THINK! Most Americans listen to the news and let Katie and Tom do the thinking for them. Convince these bunch of leftists (who flunked out of anything technical and wound up in Journalism School) that Muslims are our friends and Christians are to be crushed because they don’t like the liberals baby killing then you are in under the Obama plan.
George Bush allowed the left to crucify him so that when we next have a Pres_ent that is obviously a traitor it will fall on death ears as the impeachment drum roll was being played daily when Bush was President, Bush was abusing Patriot Act, Library checks, all kinds of silliness filled the news just a few years ago. I doubt Bush did it on purpose but he sure played right into the plan, didn’t he?
The Bush’s are liberals in domestic policy but resemble conservatives in foreign policy, both were better than liberals like Gore and Kerry, but not much better. It really is past time to take out the trash in Washington DC.
Why do so many like Sarah Palin? Simply because she thinks like an ordinary American which is why the left attacks her daily.
