We’ve done a million posts about this three-way match-up but I don’t think we’ve done one yet about a key swing state. Not what I would have predicted. Florida’s the first really important stop on the GOP calendar that we’ve looked at, and Romney’s lead there is overwhelming. He gets 52% to 21% for Huckabee and 18% for Palin. It’s closer, but still a double digit advantage, in Colorado. There Romney gets 44% to 25% for Palin and 17% for Huckabee.

I will vote for, work for and donate to the most conservative candidate in the primary NOT named Romney. In the end, if he wins anyway, and the choice is him or Obama....Mitt gets my vote against Obama. This nation cannot handle 8 full years of this man.
Then do it in 2011 and 2012 and concentrate on the vital races for Senate in Connecticut, Florida, California, Nevada, and others. Last I heard Romney won’t be running in 2010. Over at Redstate, I had an encounter with Mittens claiming Slick Willard was to the Right of Dubya on all things and claimed Mitch Daniels was a big spender/Tax hiker. The Mitten trolls are out in force trying to shut out other alternatives.
I wouldn’t worry too much. Back in 2006, we were talking about Condi Rice, Rudy Giuliani, and George Allen. Once My Man Mitch jumps into the Presidential race, Slick Willard will be old news.

The Villages, a vast, upscale planned community north of Orlando, has about 70,000 mostly adult residents — many of them military retirees — who vote reliably Republican in statewide races.
A massive crowd of senior citizens waiting four hours in the hot sun is a good reminder that SENIORS VOTE! And Obama’s ageist attacks on John McCain, not to mention the wholesome appeal of Sarah Palin are a double whammy that gives McCain the edge among seniors in many polls.
But it’s not just seniors turning out for McCain and Palin. Massive crowds are the rule, not the exception.
Ziegler pimps only for himself, he uses Palin positively or negatively to promote himself, notice how he promotes his interviews with the crazy MSNBC folks on youtube!! Oh thanks John..........BTW Palin won over an incumbent Governor and hardly any backing by the state GOP, she never asked for his advice and since he isn’t any political strategist as far as I know, his opinion is just his opinion.
I think My Man Mitch and maybe T-Paw could play well in NH and FL. If you look at the internals, it seems conservatives are divided over Huckabee, Palin, and Slick Willard. But RINOs are united in supporting Slick Willard.

This is Democrat poll. They work exclusively for Democrats. It is rather interesting that they poll for Romnyee and always show him with a lead. He leads Palin by 30 points among conservatives!! The subject was your bizarre, unsupported claim that McCain/Palin was ahead in any poll by 8 points “days before the election”.
And claiming that “Team Romney” attacked Palin AFTER they were ahead in “several polls” by “8-10 points” “days before the election” is different from claiming that Mitt Romney attacked her, as you did in your last post. TO prove that claim, you’d have to give a quote from the time a few days before the election where Romney actually attacks Palin or her kids.
The problem with your “Team Romney” claim is that the attacks on Palin’s kids happened during the convention, BEFORE the one poll showing McCain/Palin ahead by 10 points, and before the series of polls that put them ahead by a few points.
The attacks by the McCain staffers who you associate with “Team Romney” happened a few days before the election, but that was after weeks of Obama being ahead consistantly in the polls — the attacks were, Palin speculates, to save their reputations, and came AFTER the fall in the polls — you have cause and effect backwards.
Your response it typical for you — when your obvious false claims are pointed out, you change the subject.
David Frum is an idiot, and has been an idiot since way before McCain picked Palin. I’ve written him and told him that. The idea that Frum just started being an idiot in some bizarre attempt to help Romney during the general election is stupid. Frum helps Frum.
The GOP Beltway is reluctantly rallying around Slick Willard. Perhaps, the best way to stop Slick Willard is to let ObamaCare to pass. Then the GOP candidates will make repealing ObamaCare into an issue for the next few election cycles. With repealing ObamaCare as the #1 issue among conservatives, Romney will be hard pressed to spin support for RomneyCare and opposition to ObamaCare. It would reinforce Slick Willard being an opportunistic flip-flopper like Fox News Sunday & Don Imus. Romney said RomneyCare was wonderful piece of bi-partisan work.

PPP had Romney winning Tesxas too. Funny. Kay Bailey Hutchison (mitt’s candidate) didn’t do so well but Rick Perry, aided by Sarah, sure did.
You know, s well as I do, how many phony polls were being generated in 1976 and in 1980 showing George H.W. Bush and Gerald Ford as a much stronger candidate than Reagan. It seems silly in retrospect, but that is the tactic they used. It was garbage then. It’s garbage now.
I predict none of those three will be the nominee, it will be a governor that few have thought of right now.

what is the Palin cult going to do when they discover that they need support from other conservatives to get the nomination? Any comment that is not gushing over for Palin is not going to be allowed in the presence of the cult.
Then when/if the time comes to support Palin, perhaps the Palinites will tell some us to take a flying leap. That they’ll take care of it.
