He cant run for another term because of the new birth certificate requirements passed by numerous state legislatures. Is this true? Which states? I hope there was no promise of confidentiality. There is a good chance Obama was born in Hawaii, but that something ELSE on his BC would embarrass him. The American people have a right to see this document as we saw John McCain's.
Also, hopefully there is a clause a presidential hopeful would need to sign that he had never traveled under any other Passport or shown any loyalties AS AN ADULT (over 18) to another country. That's where Obama's problems lie. He may have traveled under his Indonesian passport at 19, as well as applied for college or grants as a foreigner. Any of these are unacceptable for our President.

Wow, I thought that you were smarter than that!
Nah, had my automatic kneejerk gland removed years ago.
It wasn't all that painful, try it sometime.

This is a very well thought out article, written by someone who is in fact a Palin supporter, has had personal conversations and communications with her, and is certainly in a position to understand the dynamics of a political race.Agreed. Ziegler can be nutty and out there with his confrontational stunts, but he surprised me with this article.

There were no facts, and lots of sour grapes tears in the article. He wanted the job badly, and hell hath no fury like a Ziegler scorned.

What we have to avoid is a repeat of 94/96.
The GOP takeover gave Clinton a foil to work against and position himself. Also, the GOP gave us Bob Dole because it was his turn already.
A 2010 sweep could position 0 for a comeback. "Could".
This must be prevented.

The real battle for Palin is to win over independents, and contrary of the author's assertions, both the Tea Party and Fox News are good platforms for doing just that. Just found out she finished taping her inaugural episode of "Real American Stories" for Fox today.

The fact is, I like Sarah Palin and I agree with many of her positions, but if anything dooms her political future, it isn't going to be ANYTHING she does or doesn't do, it isn't going to be anything the media or the 'Rats do, it will be the insane screaming chorus of the most extreme Palin fans, who abandon all logic when it comes to any rational discussion of their heroine and her possible political future. They will be the ones who end up portraying Sarah as some sort of leader of wackos (i.e., them!).
This week alone we have seen Sarah Palin compared to (again) Ronald Reagan, Margaret Thatcher and even General George S Patton, I kid you not. I believe that Sarah herself would tell such fanatical supporters to calm themselves down, emphasize that she is NOT any of those above mentioned historical figures, and to let her be her own person and stake out her own ideological territory.

Unless you personally are aware of such motivations for the writing of this article, you need to stop talking out of your ass. Refute the arguments made by Ziegler instead of employing that Alinsky-style tactic of attacking the messenger instead of the message.
That's what liberals do.

He sounded like a boob before, and even more so now. Palin is smart to avoid this feller.

Politics these days are really cute.
During the week ending March 6, there were 462,000 new claims for unemployment benefits. The week before that, there were 468,000. ...nearly half a million a week again.
Everyone’s being paid mostly with foreign debt. As the likelihood of defaults become unavoidably apparent, bonds will collapse (hence, revenues, retirements). Interest rates will skyrocket. Stocks will fall. Unemployment will accelerate more. There will be trade wars.
High intensity world war will be more likely than ever in the near future. The special interests in control of our political process will fall from their perches before long.
Most people now hate politics—everything that they see and hear about politics. Most of the rest (overpaid, government related employees: Republicans and Democrats) will have the same perspective soon enough.
There will be men in leadership. Spend, cheerleaders, spend! Excuse the rest of us, while we snap our pocketbooks shut and become more independent. Enjoy the ride. We will have very small government sometime during the years to come—after the big default.
You’ll get to find out who “John Galt” really is. He was someone more hated by Rand and more hated by contemporary political interests than any other kind of person. He’s the conservative, working class, technically inclined, American man of ingenuity: toughest creature on the planet.

I agree with most of her positions. When she failed to stand up to McCain, she lost all credibility with me.

Can you believe Ziegler? What is it he’s trying to gain with this article? He’s a kook. So...she can’t win according to him? Yawn....next.
Palin 2012.

What facts? - That’s the point; there were none.
He did turn some real facts on their head, but we’ve already hit those.

To: Joy Angela
First, John, it ain’t ‘09 anymore. Most specifically, President Obama ain’t the great and powerful Oz anymore.
Second, if you think the media creatures who’ve been spending the last year and a half trying to bury Governor Palin are either going to (a) stop trying between now and 2012, let alone later, or (b) turn around and embrace her if she runs on your suggested timetable because “they love a good comeback”...wow. Just wow. I’m sorry, but that’s weapons-grade stupid.
