What Is Your Next Step?

The news saddens me as I peruse the different articles people have selected to post on Free Republic each day.

I see fraud and lies exposed in the controversy of climate change. I see references to fraud in what Congress calls health care reform. I see constant evidence that the President lies, constantly. I see deficits that will result in a terrible burden on the nation’s children. I see news of more recession and possible depression. I see that the government has provided government employees with immunity from any recession. I see more news of the Marxist thinking in the administration. I see limited government confused with anti-government. One article refers to Congress cooking the books. The article contains a quote so obvious it was unneeded. They should not count a dollar twice. As it turns out the quote was needed.

The saddest part of the constant flow of information pointing to the rampant corruption in our government is that it is our corruption. We planted the roots of the corruption with the 16th and 17th amendments. We nurtured the corruption by requesting favors from the public treasury. We encouraged the graft and corruption by demanding entitlements. We fostered the corruption with our votes. We, the people, the same We the people referred to in the Preamble to our Constitution now own the corruption; it is ours.

The question facing We the people is not some extremely complex hard to express thought. The question is simply should we continue to encourage the corruption or should we diminish the corruption?

This is a far more difficult question than it might first appear. Let’s attempt to make the question less difficult by defining corruption. I define corruption in our governments as any violation of Federal or State Constitutions. This definition is appropriate because the words of our Federal and State Constitutions are reasonable concise proper English grammar. This means that the words are understandable by the highly educated and the least educated among us. Therefore, the Constitution is the correct place to begin if we chose to diminish the corruption.

I see this as the reality before us while realizing there are people in our society who do not accept that reality.

This part of our society may wish to run from the reality but they cannot run from the consequences of running from the reality.

What is your next step if you are of the mind that the corruption must diminish if we are to keep the vision for America the Constitution provides the nation? I would appreciate any comments regardless of the politics behind your position.

Every step is to personally ready my home and family to live as long as possible while under a physical state of siege. Keep family and friends close, store supplies and defense items, pray that God allows America to remain a Free Republic, but be ready to defend what is precious. As Sarah Connor says at the end of “Terminator”, there is a storm coming.

I bought a 13 acre farm in central Kentucky last year. I can be self sufficient there. Although I originally agreed to the purchase back in 2008 as a place to retire, part of the reason (maybe 15%) was to have a place in case of meltdown. By the time I closed the deal last August it was 80% of the reason.

Other than that, I watched the first two installments of the HBO special John Adams last night. These times are looking to be almost as interesting as his were. But I don’t want to be hanged by King George.

I am sharpening my pitchfork and gathering tar and feathers.
I’m still searching for a rail large enough to accommodate all the criminals.

To clarify, I believe this thing will collapse of its own wieght. I want to be there to help the Phoenix to rise from the ashes for my progeny. I don’t believe there is a thing we can do to stop it. It is simply too big. It is also international.

So what are you trying to say? I vote and try to vote for good candidates or the lesser of two evils. I vote for fiscal conservatism and social conservatism because to do otherwise leads to fiscal malpractice. Again what are you trying to say?

"I want to be there to help the Phoenix to rise from the ashes for my progeny."

I don't believe that opportunity is going to present itself.
I'm praying these are the end-times.
If so, cling to God, family, and to what America once was.

“or the lesser of two evils.”

There’s your mistake. “Lesser of two evils” = evil.

Well, I will continue to take what actions I can. Sometimes the situation limits your choices. For instance, in 2008 we had a damned poor choice of candidates after Fred Thompson dropped out. I agreed with Jim Robinson and Rush Limbaugh that a vote for McCain was better than third party or letting Obama win, especially after Palin became the VP choice, because I saw exactly how bad Obama would be. But we were stuck with McCain. He certainly wasn’t our choice.

There are a variety of things that can be done. But I think the first order of business is to pray to God that He will come to the rescue of our country in its difficulties.

There will always be SOME corruption in politics. There was some even at the founding. Our problem today is that the whole culture has become morally corrupted and hijacked by fascists and leftists. There’s a difference between politicians taking a few favors and politicians trying to destroy the entire economy so they can have more power. There’s a difference between sinners in a basically Christian society and sinners who now argue that their way is the best way and the Christian morality has to go.

So. I have always prayed that God would enlighten our political leaders when I go to church. Now I pray that He will come to the rescue of our country and convert our people back to a proper sense of right and wrong. Because you can’t have a sound political system as long as perhaps half the country no longer really knows the difference between right and wrong, and have let political correctness caste them adrift from the needed foundation of reality and truth.

Vote for someone else other than the two evils.

I’ve experienced the frustration of realizing that people don’t care what’s true and what’s right. We who know different have to remember that we don’t embrace truth and morality because it wins us friends (or elections) but because it’s right, and there is no moral alternative-even if we’re damned in this life for doing so.

Things are changing. Remember, THEY LIE! When they say “I have the votes” they are not even close. Then they say “no new taxes, THEY LIE! Don’t believe anything they say. Obama is in a bubble where everyone tells him he’s great, he’s wonderful, he’s right. I’m sure that the Czar of Russia heard the same from his advisers, until he was overthown. I’m sure the king of France was the same. Maybe even Saddam Hussein. Look what happened in all these circumstances. I think Obama should take the notion of history repeating itself seriously, otherwise overthrow is iminent. The will of the people, if strong, eventually prevails.

You have to vote your conscience. If there are two evils running against each other even though one of them may be the “lesser of two evils”, I vote for someone who I know is not evil. That’s all I meant. I vote independent or Constitution Pary or whoever is not evil.

By voting for the “lesser of two evils” you are just perpetuating the corruption and abuse.

I sleep well at night knowing that I did not vote for evil.

Evil is evil, period.
