Meg Whitman Endorsed Vice President Al Gore For President
For over a year, Meg Whitman has masqueraded as a darn good Republican while running for governor. However, shes conveniently avoided telling Californias conservative voters that she endorsed Sen. Barbara Boxers 2004 campaign and said she was a huge fan of radical activist Van Jones. But the biggest surprise that shes hidden from voters is her prominent endorsement of Vice President Al Gores presidential campaign in 2000.
Whitman was among a small group of technology executives who backed the global warming crusaders campaign against George W. Bush. As early as August 2000, her colleagues counted her among Gores most steadfast CEO allies.
Maybe Whitmans trip on a global warming cruise with Jimmy Carter and her $300,000 contribution to the Environmental Defense Fund make sense after all.
Whitman Has Called Herself A Darn Good Republican:
Whitman: At the end of the day, Im very certain about what I believe. Im a Republican and youll find Im a darn good Republican. (Carla Marinucci and John Wildermuth, Hopefuls Deliver Pitch For Governor, San Francisco Chronicle, 2/22/09)
During The 2000 Presidential Election, Whitman Endorsed Vice President Al Gore For President:
In September Of 2000, Whitman Was Listed As A Supporter Of Vice President Gores Presidential Campaign. Gore supporters already include such chief executives as Eric Schmidt of Novell, Steve Jobs of Apple Computer and Meg Whitman of eBay. (Andrew J. Glass, Candidates Woo High-Tech World With Similar Stands, Cox News Service, 9/14/00)
Fellow San Jose CEO Bill Coleman Listed Whitman As A Supporter Of Vice President Gore. The vast majority of technology executives are in the Bush camp. There are certain people active on the other side: [Novell CEO] Eric Schmidt, [Apple CEO] Steve Jobs, and [eBay CEO] Meg Whitman. But I cant think of any other major CEOs, [BEA Software CEO Bill] Coleman says. (Jennifer Jones and Bob Trott, The Politics Of Technology, InfoWorld, 8/28/00)
I would not trust her as far as I could throw her.
Another flaming RINO who I will hold my nose and vote for to keep Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown from accelerating the death of California.
This has been the story of my life, politically. Never a conservative candidate worth a damn to vote for. I’m CONSTANTLY playing defense. Where are the rich asshole conservatives to buy political offices in this world? They are all off making more money hand over fist in the private sector, while the rich commie libs and RINOs by all the political seats.
So there’s nothing but Democrats and Marxists running for Ca Governor? How far that state has truly fallen.
Sad to learn her image might be all spin.
Wow. I see they're hard at work over in Poizner's camp. That's really damning stuff. If true, count me out Meg.
Do we have legitimate, verifiable sources on any of that?
Why wouldn't a primary opponent shout this stuff to the rooftops in TV and radio ads?
This scumbag Whitman needs to be buried, fast.
Poizner gave $10,000 to Gore to help win the 2000 election. So now what?
Opensecrets.com show her contributions to democrats.

Then there will be third-party options for the general election.
The contributions are not entirely suprising to me because she was a businesswoman, and executives often give to both sides and hedge their bets...you really can’t tell that much from an executive’s contributions. However the comments abour Van Jones, if true, show inexplicably bad judgment, and this Jimmy Carter global warming cruise...I’d like to hear more FACTS about that...it doesn’t sound good at all.
The video of her lauding Van Jones is unbearable and inexplicable. I despise Jerry Brown, but I don’t think I can vote for Whitman now.
I don’t want Brown OR Whitman! What are we to do? California needs conservative help! FAST! Where is Ronald Reagan??
$10k to the DNC plus $10k to Gore's recount = no vote from me.
So, who's the Libertarian?
We are really in a bad way out here, but you know that Romney is her sponsor and has even bought a house out here to help her through the election.
Romney is building a national rino base toward his goal of finishing his family’s, generations old war against conservatism.
Depressing.
I don’t know what to do. I was told, via a FR post earlier this evening, that Tom McClintock has endorsed Poizner. That’s a plus, but....just damn!
Looks like I might be voting for a democrat governor again this year (I did last time).
