I read it quick and thought it said 37 YEARS! HA!
forgive my ignorance here but exactly did she do?
Unfortunately she’ll probably only do a couple of months. What an arrogant puke she is.
Yes yes it was sarcasm, people.
Do you know who I am?!
Hope and change, at last.
What was the maximum she could have gotten? 3 yrs. doesn’t seem nearly long enough.
Yup, the wife of Rep. John Conyers D-Michigan, who wanted a “truth commission” - I guess truth starts at home Mr. Conyers:
On January 13, 2009, the House Committee on the Judiciary, led by Chairman Conyers, released “Reining in the Imperial Presidency: Lessons and Recommendations Relating to the Presidency of George W. Bush”, a 486-page report detailing alleged abuses of power that occurred during the Bush administration, and a comprehensive set of recommendations to prevent recurrence. Conyers has introduced a bill to set up a “truth commission” panel to investigate alleged policy abuses of the Bush administration.
Her corruption is one of the reasons Detroit is an abject failure. Enjoy prison, bee-yotch.
She’ll get a pardon from Obama before the year is out.
From the Detroit News:
They noted evidence at the recent trial of political consultant Sam Riddle, Conyers’ former aide, pointed to Conyers receiving tens of thousands of dollars more in bribes from business people with matters before the council or the General Retirement System.
Lennie Jackson, a paroled drug felon and the brother of Detroit businessman Rayford W. Jackson, testified at Riddle’s trial that he acted as a courier for his brother, delivering cash to Conyers at a west side Detroit McDonald’s and the Butzel Family Center on the east side. Jackson also testified he delivered Conyers an envelope outside a Mr. Fish restaurant, though he didn’t know what the envelope contained.
An FBI agent testified about another 2007 incident at Detroit Metropolitan Airport in which he saw what he believed was cash passing hands from Rayford Jackson to Riddle to Conyers.
Rayford Jackson, Synagro’s Detroit partner on the sludge deal, refused to cooperate with investigators and got the maximum five-year sentence. He is now locked up in a federal prison in upstate New York.
James R. Rosendall Jr., the former Synagro vice president who assisted investigators by making secret audio and video recordings, was sentenced to 11 months. He has yet to report to prison.
Lennie Jackson was not charged but could face trouble for violating parole from his drug case.
Riddle’s trial ended in a mistrial in February. His retrial is set for July.

She is also the woman the little black girls took to the woodshed.
SHOCKER!
Rahmbo - if you’re not a Yes vote for Health Insurance Reform we’ll see that your wife gets 24 months in federal prison.
John Conyers - if I vote Yes, can you make it 37?
Too bad, so sad, TS.
Those damn Republicans and their “Culture of Corruption”!
