The U.S. Department of Education (ED) intends to purchase twenty-seven Remington Shotguns...
Place of Delivery: U.S. Department of Education Office of Inspector General c/o: Gary Pawlak, Special Agent 500 West Madison Street - Suite 1414 Chicago, IL 60661

Pls post a follow up. Its hard to imagine what they’d need 27 for...or even 1. Isn’t this the same anti-gun crowd who convulses at the mere mention of FAs and would put kids out of school for even mentioning them???
must be compatible with existing ED inventory...
How many 14 barrel entry shotguns do they have already?
Missed that...so what powers does the Dept. of Ed have that they’d need FAs? To my understanding they have no police powers.
Someone has to man the re-education camp guard towers...
The list, ping
For trap and skeet class?
Probably need bigger guns, the sort to hit airplanes as idiots try to fly them into government building.
The word I got was that these are for the Special Ed staff at the John Dillinger Maximum Security High School in Cicero...
Guess it wasn’t really a joke.
Special Agent???????? Seriously.......WTF?
As a side note there hundreds of EPA officials who are designated as LEO’s and carry sidearms. They also receive a 25% pay bump and are eligible for retirement after 20 years.
But there’s a ban on firearms in the city of Chicago, don’t you remember?
So how can this be?
I guess it’s possible they intend to start educating our young citizens.
Naaaah. That can’t be it.
Can't they just use imaginary shotguns? Apparently, they are considered the same as a real one by certain "educators".
Every fiefdom needs its own army. I was always amazed at the number of police entities in DC. Some have very broad areas of interest like Postal and AMTRAK.
No kidding, huh? Totally believable. I'll bet that's one tough crowd of teenagers. Easy to lose your lunch money there, I'd bet.
I'm baffled, too. The 870 is a great shotgun, but I wouldn't want to go into combat with one unless it was all I could get my hands on. It probably is the least expensive model though at $357.99.
The great body of our citizens shoot less as times goes on. We should encourage rifle practice among schoolboys, and indeed among all classes, as well as in the military services by every means in our power
Thus, and not otherwise, may we be able to assist in preserving peace in the world ...
The first step in the direction of preparation to avert war if possible, and to be fit for war if it should come is to teach men to shoot! -Theodore Roosevelt
