I suspect that SCOTUS rulings will be more consise, clear, and BROADER for a while. Expect broad language in the McDonald case. I think the Chief Justice may just see how important it is to overturn ALL gun bans in this nation after the baffoon in the White House has clearly demonstrated his lack of decorum, legal boundaries, or ethics.

THIS is why we have the 2nd Amendment and WHY the Founding Fathers put in “SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.”

Please rule broadly and strongly SCOTUS. You see what we are concerned with now. Don’t pansy out like in the past. PLEEEEEAAAASE.

"The image of having the members of one branch of government standing up, literally surrounding the Supreme Court, cheering and hollering" [as the Justices were being denounced]...

He (or they) should have stood up and walked out. Wouldn't THAT have been dramatic?!

Justices are not required to attend the annual joint sessions but have traditionally done so as a sign of mutual respect for the president and legislative branch. In January, six justices attended, including Roberts. But it sounds now like that judicial thinking might be changing.

I think they were pretty shocked. They should have gotten up and walked out. All of them, including both those who were in the majority of the decision, and those who where not, including the Resident's own appointment.

'Very Troubling'

Not as troubling as watching *you* swear in this Marxist usurper.

[And then to receive a resounding ovation from fellow Democrats standing to applaud and cheer Obama. . .]

It's safe to say this was the last State of the Union many of these Democrats will ever attend.

Obama is the quintessential example of an ego-centric personality. He is THE worst thing to happen to this Nation in decades. His ego and socialist ideology has NO bounds.

If this marxist, along with his many fellow travelers, manage to take over 1/6th of our economy (health care), install "cap and tax", and enable "illegal alien amnesty", this nation will be just one more on the ash heap of history. There will be no turning back, because those who benefit from such policies will never let go.

As a man living his twilight years, I have nothing to lose anymore. I've done the street demonstrations and they worked sometimes, but things are quickly growing past those benign efforts. It's time for more assertive action. I've posted many replies that those who march on DC (TEA Parties and such) should just sit down and refuse to leave. It worked for the hippie scumbags to cause us to lose the Viet Nam war. Why wouldn't it work for our cause? The movement needs to be more assertive.

I've also posted many articles about State Nullification. Got few replies and was pooh-poohed, but NOW everyone is talking about it. Many States are passing resolutions and laws to re-assert their 9th & 10th Amendment rights. I still believe that to be the best way back to our Constitutional heritage...before the People initiate RWII.

As I've said many times on this forum, "we all die". What will you die for? Waste away from old age in some hospital hooked up to a machine, or sitting in some "retirement home" wondering who will change your soiled pants? Or will you make something of what is left of your time on Earth?

Do you have the b*lls to try to restore the promise of America for your loved ones, friends, and compatriots? Will you take a bullet, no matter where it hits? I have given an Oath to do so. I would probably be the biggest wuss and scream and cry out in pain, but I still would not renounce that Oath. Well, unless I was tortured... Then it would be untrue anyway.

All the above said, I bet most National Guard, and if Obambi decides to ignore Posse Commitatus, the Marines and Army will not fire on their own brethern in this day and age.

Mark my words on this post!: If DC keeps pushing and gets its way, a real fight is coming. It will probably start with some small remote group who will be destroyed for their efforts. When that happens, providing they are not some stupid cult or outlaws, all hell will break lose. Personally, I believe Texas will be the flash point.

Main Entry: mi·li·tia Pronunciation: \mə-ˈli-shə\ Function: noun Etymology: Latin, military service, from milit-, miles Date: 1625
1 a : a part of the organized armed forces of a country liable to call only in emergency b : a body of citizens organized for military service
2 : the whole body of able-bodied male citizens declared by law as being subject to call to military service

United States Code: TITLE 10; Subtitle A; PART I; CHAPTER 13 § 311. Militia: composition and classes
(a) The militia of the United States consists of all able-bodied males at least 17 years of age and, except as provided in section 313 of title 32, under 45 years of age who are, or who have made a declaration of intention to become, citizens of the United States and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard.
(b) The classes of the militia are—
(1) the organized militia, which consists of the National Guard and the Naval Militia; and
(2) the unorganized militia, which consists of the members of the militia who are not members of the National Guard or the Naval Militia.

We are on the cusp. We either accept our finality towards socialism or we fight it. We can fight through the political machine or if that is for naught that we fight with our our sacred honor; our livilihoods (take care of your family resoureces), and our lives.

Things are coming to the boiling point. Either boil in the hopeless socialist agenda or hop out of the pot and fight, fight, fight. What is your turning point? Think carefully. It is about going along to get along or supporting a societal compact that has given you so much?

Best to all in these trying times.

What do you expect when there are no standards? We all know free speech is a right, but without responsibility it's devalued greatly!

Without accountability it's useless. We are responsible for holding our freedom in check.

I don’t like Obama’s juvenile comments, nor do I think appropriate what occurred with the legislature. However, it is not the first time friction appeared in the three branches. Off the top of my head I’m thinking of FDR threatening to pack and make SCOTUS a rubber stamp after the court struck almost all of his communist policies. Another conflict occurred when Andrew Jackson’s actions after Cherokee Nation vs. Georgia and Worcester v. Georgia. And finally, Chief Justice John Marshall asserting SCOTUS power made for interesting consequences.

But I could be wrong

The conservative members of SCOTUS should be made to wear blue arm bands. As should non-union auto maker executives, bank executives, medical insurance company executives, and all WalMart employees.

I wonder when the window smashings of big banks and big pharma and big insurance properties will occur? Can somebody check the SEIU calendar for the date?

Seriously, would he expect anything less from the spoiled brat man child, Marxist, narcissist Kenyan? That ruling screwed up Barry’s campaign plans for 2012 and Wookie is loving living like a Queen and so is he. They are nothing but squatters and I can’t wait to see them leave.
