Legal or otherwise.

ABC News reports the White House has punched back at the Chief Justice:

SNIP

Asked for comment, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said, "What is troubling is that this decision opened the floodgates for corporations and special interests to pour money into elections – drowning out the voices of average Americans."

Gibbs continued, saying, "the President has long been committed to reducing the undue influence of special interests and their lobbyists over government. That is why he spoke out to condemn the decision and is working with Congress on a legislative response.”

Shows the complete lack of class of Democrats in general and Obama in particular.

Well said by Chief Justice Roberts, he didn’t lower himself to Obama’s level.

I say our president is a classless thug.

Review the speeches of the early Presidents—their dignity, their humility, their strong sense of obligation to uphold certain standards of conduct==in order to understand how “very troubling” such an arrogant action on the part of the President and his Party members in the Congress truly is!

Seems like the typical M.O. for Barry. He delights in baiting anyone who he disagrees with and indirectly gives the green light for his team of hacks to do their dirty work. The White House has become an International embarrasment.

Justice Roberts showing no respect for Americans, his silly little Oath,
John Jay, the US Constitution, or his laughable, "written-only-to-fool-the-public(wink,wink)" Code of Ethics
as he meets ex parte with Candidate Obama overlooking his lack
of documentation as they both eagerly serve foreign and domestic enemies of America.

Alito didn't remain 'quiet'. With he'd done a 'Joe Wilson' on Obama.

I am THRILLED that the Chief Justice and Alioto actually expressed displeasure with this despot. Maybe their more liberal associates will not look quite as favorably upon him as well.

GOOD.

What is considerably more unusual is for the chief executive of the executive branch (Barack Obama) to look down on the members of said Supreme Court in public at a joint session of Congress and to their faces denounce their independent actions.

And then to receive a resounding ovation from fellow Democrats standing to applaud and cheer Obama as the surrounded justices sat mute, motionless and unable to respond.

Ohhh yea, little bammy sure knows how to make friends every day of the week eh?

Albert was right. "The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits."

Obama never ceases to amaze and his lack of experience and knowledge of proper protocol is always on display. He’s an embarrassment to the office he holds and someone I still cannot recognize as our President. However, what’s to be said of seasoned congressmen and the “gentlemen” of the Senate who gave him a resounding ovation? They are the real culprits and are just as much to blame.

The Supreme Court should not go to the SOTU. It’s a cruddy photoop, and is supposed to be a report to Congress. Roberts should stay away.

A great nation can forbear only so many imbeciles. The election of Obama confirms that we are no longer, at least since November 2008, that great nation. We now simply like to make-believe what was “once upon a time” as still is.
