Scott Brown Votes with Democrats (Again) on Cloture

ABCs Z. Byron Wolf reports: Scott Brown is proving to be an elusive vote on matters of cloture. During his month in the senate, Brown is just about evenly split, siding half the time with Democrats and half the time with Republicans.
For a man ushered into the Senate as someone Republicans should exalt in and signaling the death knell of Democrats super-majority, Brown has shown himself to be no fan of Senate Republicans slow-everything-to-a-snails-pace strategy.
In two cases now Brown joined several other Republican moderates to buck his party and help Democrats narrowly defeat filibuster.
The most recent occurred Tuesday afternoon a cloture vote on Democrats most recent jobs bill, which has a year-long extension of unemployment and COBRA benefits as well as extending popular tax credits for a host of issues. Cloture was invoked 66-34.

The 15 bil bill is a drop in the bucket compared to the trillions that they evaporated the last 18 months, just let it go.

I don't know why anyone should be surprised.
He is from MA and all we really knew about him was that he would vote no on "HCR"

I knew this would be the case even though people on FR were ready to propose Brown as a 2012 Presidential candidate. But remember, he’s from Massachusetts.

Scott Brown for President? LOL
I know. Every time a new face appears with an "R" after his name, FReepers name him President.

For those of you who helped Scott, a phone call questioning sanity is in order.

This looks like another weak hit piece on Brown.
If there are already 66 votes in favour, it is obvious a lot more Republicans apart from Brown voted for it and obviously he is not the sole supporter.

This doesn’t surprise me. And it’s really not that important. Since cloture got 66 votes, his vote was not critical.
What we can’t afford is RINOs who provide the crucial key vote, as Snowe did earlier. She should have been disciplined by the leadership for doing that. But on this bill, evidently the leadership let the troops do what they wanted. It’s not even close.
